Well I haven't bothered turning on the heat. It was 60 in my apartment at the time I wrote that. I was sitting 3 feet from a sliding glass door and it was low 40s outside so probably low 50s where I was sitting. A bit cool for shorts and t-shirt when I'm sitting not moving much at a computer. It was also highs near 80 the other week and keeps going up and down my body is confused what temperature it should be acclimatized for.dsheinem wrote:Houston is cold? Re: Random Thoughts Thread
Wife and I had a problem recently, our credit/debit were compromised and fradulent charges were made. Was a pain to get cleared up. She's paranoid about online purchases, which I can understand. Until things cool down, I'm started using money orders, but those are slow and not every place accepts them. Any other alternatives? I've noticed that the local grocery store sells both Amazon and eBay giftcards. I've thought about getting a couple of these. Possibly one of those prepaid Visa cards as well.

I never figured it would happen, but Rick Santorum is picking up speed in the polls. I really wish that Iowa primary would hurry up and get over with so that we can hear some different news.

*is glad that the Contra packages I send out recently have individually coded remote triggers so I can just set off the ones I need to*

Re: Random Thoughts Thread
this may be nerd speak or old fogey talk.
but at my job...
they finally decided to make Craftsman ratchets in CHINA!
Cost finally made them give up on MADE IN USA
I think most all of craftsman hand tools are made in the US, but lately some newer stuff has gotten branded from china.
Most of my customers are verdant "USA CRAFTSMAN" hand tool fans, and this certiainly will not make their day.
