You know what REPO, I've got $100 that says you don't move to NY by the end of the year. If you don't, you can't mention it again. I'm willing to put my money where my mouth is; this is an actual bet and you can ban me or whatever if I don't pay up.

Mate, I have made it to New York more than you have and I live in England.REPO Man wrote:Thankfully my plan is to leave mid-October and have whoever visits me bring me my stuff when they visit for Thanksgiving.

You say your plan is to move out in mid-October? Ok, cool. That’s basically 3 months of pay. How much do you have saved? How much can you save by then? Do you have a place set up already, because honestly you probably should if you’re moving so soon. Does your current landlord have a fixed contract with you - can you move out without incurring fees or are you locked in til a certain date?
Have you even considered the slightest thing you might need to do for your plan, or have you literally just thought ‘I’ll move to New York in October and make friends with my dark cabaret video tapes’

I meant mid-October in whatever year I get the money.

If you have $100 to spare, donate it to charity.SamuraiMegas wrote:You know what REPO, I've got $100 that says you don't move to NY by the end of the year. If you don't, you can't mention it again. You know, I was on set the other day with a former fire fighter who decided to leave her industry and get into film production. She had a dream and pursued it, and now she is exploring the world of filming and figuring out what role she wants in the future while learning all she can. Thank goodness for folks from North Carolina willing to overcome challenges, work hard, and go for what they want in the film world. If I could, I'd hire her in an instant on any set I worked.

Double or nothing, I've got $200 to spare. One for you and one your your charity of choice. You can donate your $100 if you don't want it.

It really pains me to hear of kids going through hard forced rough times. It hits close to home as I have been there several times, sometimes very closely involved, when some bad things happened due to unsuitable parents being relived from custody and, sometimes worse, not removed from custody. Being slightly too-far removed from the situation I have never been able to do much, despite always trying to make the situation better for the kids. My toughest moments were when, despite my best efforts, I was told from many angles that I was not able to do anything. I *hate* any parent that chooses their own wellbeing or lack thereof over their own kids wellbeing. Sorry to vent, but the absolute horrid things I was prevented from stopping always bring back some very dark emotions.
