And with my birthday coming up I could probably ask my family if they'd float me a few bucks to help get it. That's something I am THINKING ABOUT DOING and not something I plan on doing on an impulse.
Here's the thing... After typing all that, you're going to do it. You've been here long enough that we know your tendencies. Unless you suddenly lose a ton of hours or break something expensive you need before you commit you're going to pull the trigger. The way you've been talking about it you've already made up your mind.

And if you decide not to just to spite me? Good for you! You will have made the right decision, even if for the wrong reason.

Better be rim tape for them flats lol.

You'll learn the more you get older, i hope, living paycheck to paycheck and having to borrow money to get bailed out of emergencies everytime sucks. For some it takes a little longer to sink in. When you get paid and bills are paid, pay yourself first. Dont use the rest for shit you can live without or stupid games. Live within your means.

I actually meant to keep quiet about it til it got here so I could post it in the fashion thread, but I got the Daft Punk x Bape tee to go with the shoes I got earlier this year. There's another one I might get if I ever find it cheap, but I've completed a collection I thought was impossible for me to own since childhood. (The other one is the same design, different colors.)
I've got three museum level Bape pieces... My game collection is kinda thin nowadays lol.

:?: Is it just a thing where I live or do the grocery stores always seem packed on rainy days?

With remote learning will kids this this and later generations get snow days?

But seriously on Hatteras Island when a hurricane comes more often than not the locals with just load up on booze and ride the storm out completely schnockered.

Last time we had one was in 2019. I crashed at Veronica's grandparents' place where my mom was living. At some point we'd fire up the generator to watch movies and play a few games of Risk.

In my district, if there is a chance of snow they just call a "Remote Learning Day." This is a glorified homework assignment that takes twenty minutes but still counts as a "full instructional day."

"Full Instructional Day" in my state is legally defined as a minimum of six hours of instructional time, which is the school day minus recess and lunch.

So, the kids essentially get snow days and the district fucks them out of another day of learning, despite them all being months behind.

So don't worry about the kids' snow days. Worry about their futures.

Don't buy a damn TV. Don't buy a damn PS5. Put all that money in a savings account like a responsible adult.

A world where personal finance is now part of the high school curriculum that you're required to teach?
