Plus, at times for me it's difficult to get the things that need to get done done. And before anyone says "well, I have ADHD and autism and I don't have that problem" I'd like to remind that person that it's a spectrum. Not every neurodivergent person is one and the same. For example, some folks on the spectrum can't understand sarcasm, but some can. It's not an excuse, it's a reason.

I did them myself. As for filing early, that's what I normally do but it's been a pain trying to find time since I was originally going to get them done by the same person as last year but since I'd end up owing money on my taxes, I'd need to plan it around my work schedule AND when I'd most likely be able to pay for her tax services.

I found a way to pay it off by Tuesday and that's all I can say. Only downside is that I'll have to owe someone money. They also recommended I open a savings account and have my Muffins and Scones paycheck put into it.

If you did them yourself did you have anyone else look over them?
I am asking because it would be a bummer to pay $700 if you fat-fingered something, or forgot about your standard deduction.
Opening a savings account is good advice.
You should also update your W-4s. If you're owing $700 at the end of the year you aren't having enough withheld from your paychecks. Given the struggles you have outlined here, you will likely have a much easier time dealing with slightly smaller paychecks and a small refund every year than owing money.
You will need to ask your manager and/or boss for a copy of your current W-4 and submit a new one with fewer exemptions/higher withholdings.
Good luck!

My Aunt Robyn's loaning me the money.

Yeah well, I hope Aunt Robyn isn't in the business of breaking legs.REPO Man wrote:My Aunt Robyn's loaning me the money.
No, wait, I take that back. I hope Aunt Robyn IS in the business of breaking legs.
Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
We have a concrete back porch which is screened in. We let the cats out on the porch to get some outside air and to watch the birds and also scare away the chippers. However, some local mice enjoy apparently passing through, and one of our cats, when we leave the porch door open late, has discovered he can easily catch a mouse and bring it inside to play with. He’s quite good at keeping it locked down and eventually killing it (and playing with the body). But I don’t want mice in the house, so we have to start closing the porch earlier so he doesn’t find any playmates to torture.

Anyone have experience with enclosed mouse traps? Time to clean house (outside the house, the mice only come in because Gravy invites them in).
Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
My best results were with glue traps, but I saved those as a last resort when I grew weary of playing nice.
