Too much, probably. I don't recall the exact amount off the top of my head, but I know it was around $10. I found it online for about $8.50 a roll if you buy a case of 18. I don't know if I'd buy a case though, personally. I like it a lot, but since it's a "use only when you need it" type of tape, a case would be too much for me. I've never seen it locally, except for this one time. Hopefully the store I found it in keeps it stocked so I can get it again! Although the store that I found it in is usually hit and miss with their stock.Ack wrote:How much did this tape run you?

Hmm, yeah, a case does seem like a lot. Still, for a purpose-driven tape that is that useful, $10 doesn't seem too bad. Don't beat yourself up, it was worth it.
Now that I think about it, a case of Shurtape wouldn't be a bad idea...

I had a really awesome idea for a unique SNES homebrew cart for the Charity Auction. Well, long story short, I wont be able to get it done in time. I had built the prototype and confirmed that it works, but I didn't realize I didn't have all the right parts. It'll take way too long to get what I need for it to be in this year's auction. Oh well, I guess now I have a year to make it.

What kind of cart was it?
Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
An original idea that I had for a SNES cart, comprising of two games on one cart. I'm not going to reveal exactly what, though, since it's very much an original idea. I'd like it to still be original by next year.

So, a multicart? Would switching between games be done via hardware or software, a la the Sega 6-Pak.
Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
Hardware, but without mechanical switches. Resetting the console switches games. I actually made some for the auction last year, but I had another idea for one this year. It's just that I thought of it too late!

I often do bird paintings and one of the challenges I have with painter's tape is how quickly acrylic paint dries. If the painting is going to have a blank border that I've taped off, I have to be swift in preparing the background. Otherwise, I risk taking off some of the paint when removing the painters tape.

Ooh, Opa, do you have photos of your work you could share? I'd love to see that.
