First, check the wire for visual signs of wear. If nothing, put both hands on the wire with about 6 inches of wire between both hands. Bend the wire to make a U shape, then bring your right hand over your left so that the wire makes the shape of an S, then bring your right hand down and below your left hand so that the cable resembles the number five. Do this up and down the cable to test for internal breakage, keeping an eye on the power light to see if it flicks on. Pay closer attention to each end of the wire, that is where breakage occurs most often.harper wrote:Haha yeah I thought it might have something to do with the power adapter, and I actually did try wiggling it around and nothing happened but I will give it another shot. Try this: Plug everything in, set it up correctly. Turn it on. If the power light doesn't come on, try jiggling the power cable around and see if you can get the power light to come on (even if it flashes on and off). Pay close attention to the first foot of the cable coming out the back of the SNES. It's very common to get breaks inside the wire. I suspect this might be your problem. You can try testing with another power adapter too, if possible.

I've already tried fidgeting with the whole cord and nothing, not a single flicker. Just tried it again and still nothing.Ziggy587 wrote:First, check the wire for visual signs of wear. Does it warm up if you leave it plugged in for a bit? If not, the brick is dead. If it does, the problem is elsewhere. Possibly the fuse in the system.harper wrote:I've already tried fidgeting with the whole cord and nothing, not a single flicker. Just tried it again and still nothing.

I thought about that too, it seems like when I unplugged it the first time it was a little warm, but that could be because it was powered on not long before that.Hobie-wan wrote:Does it warm up if you leave it plugged in for a bit? I'll leave it in the wall for a bit and check on it later. But like I said, even if it is just that, I have no way of really knowing because I don't have another one to test it with.

Smile/Frown in one:
My niece will be baptized this weekend. I will make the 12+ round trip drive to spend 10 minutes watching a baby have water dripped on her. So...My Sister (my niece's Mother) isn't Christian, nor is her husband. So this is really only for my Grandparents aproval, which I don't get either.
I'm going because they are family, but really I'm wasting a ton of time and money for a ritual that means nothing to the parents. Why attend a wedding if you already know the couple will get divorced?
I guess again the answer = family. I'm glad she'll be baptized, but if there is no faith behind it, why am I being asked to spend $100+ in gas and 2 entire days of my time for what seems to me to be nothing?
All I'm saying is that there better be some after baptism brunch.

I can relate, the only time I've ever been to church ever was to watch my cousins son get baptized. No one at all in my family is the slightest bit Christian. I dun get it. Plus I had to get up early on a Sunday

Convenient excuse to get out of it is the path I take on such issues lol.Luke wrote:Smile/Frown in one:

Yeah, it's dumb, but it is still family (and it also provides a solid alibi while my mob boss nemesis gets whacked).Jmustang1968 wrote:

It's one of those "Do what you gotta do" situations, I just wish the "do" part didn't include my entire weekend and a couple hundred clams.
Could be worse. The brat could be baptized during SuperBowl weekend.
Man, at just a few months old this chick is already demanding attention at her parties. She's a sure fire hire for MTV studios for their new show "My Sweet Six Party".

Oh fudge. I think I just gave away an idea that MTV would make millions off of. Any trademark/copyright lawyers here?Luke wrote: "My Sweet Six Party".
