Re: Upcoming Together Retro Calendar
Jan: Riviera - GBA on Gamecube Game Boy Player
This is where it gets interesting though. I'm going to be moving to Beijing for a while so I need to go ahead and get all the Game Boy ports before I leave in a month.
Feb: King of Fighters '98 - This never came out on Game Boy so I'm going to have to go with King of Fighters '95 (GB), KoF ' 96 (GB), KoF EX: Neoblood (GBA), or KoF EX2: Howling Blood (GBA). Any recommendations?
Mar: Dark Forces - Any recommendations on a GB, GBC, or GBA Star Wars game that is even remotely related?
Apr: Deja Vu - I loved Shadow Gate back on the NES as a kid. Can't wait to try out it's sister game Deja Vu on the Game Boy Color which has the unreleased sequal Deja Vu II on the cart as well.
May: Zoop - Game Boy version it is
Jun: Gradius III & Parodius - I'll be doing Gradius: Interstellar Assault for Game Boy or Gradius Galaxies for GBA. There is a Parodius for Game Boy as well.
Jul: Rayman - Bunch of options. The GBC Rayman and Rayman 2 or Rayman Advance, Rayman 3, or Rayman 10th anniversary collection which are all for GBA.
Aug: Populous - What are my options for Game Boy systems?
Sep: World Series Baseball '95 - Since this is Sega I'm going to go with the Game Gear version.
Oct: Splatterhouse - I'll play either Splatterhouse 2 or 3 for Genesis or Splatterhouse: Wanpaku Graffiti for Famicon through my Dreamcast.
Nov: Shining Force - I'll be doing Shining Force: Resurrection of the Dark Dragon for GBA
Dec: Super Monkeyball - I'll be doing Super Monkeyball Jr. for GBA
So any recommendations on any of these options. Like I said, I have to stock up now before I fly out.

@Urban Champion-e: I've got you covered... here's what you wanna do:
Jan: Riviera - GBA
Feb: King of Fighters '98 - KoF EX2: Howling Blood (GBA). By far the best of the GB/GBA KOF's. Published by Atlus!
Mar: Dark Forces - none of the Star Wars GB/GBC/GBA have anything to do with this one. Dark Forces is a FPS, pretty much every Star Wars game on the handheld is platform/adventure. You could MAYBE do Flight Of The Falcon (GBA) as it's a first person flying/shooter.
Apr: Deja Vu - GBC of course. It's amazing and contains the sequel.
May: Zoop - GB (believe it or not this is easier to play b/w than colorized on the GBPlayer/GBA. When the GBPlayer/GBA boots up and shows the GB logo hold LEFT + B to get the old school GB monochrome)
Jun: Gradius III & Parodius - Nemesis (GB), Gradius Interstellar Assault (GB), Gradius Galaxies (GBA), Parodius (GB - Japanese import). They are all great.
Jul: Rayman - Rayman Advance (GBA) -- basically it's the PS1 version.
Aug: Populous - GB (European import)
Sep: World Series Baseball '95 - Major League Baseball 2k (GBA) is the spiritual successor, though it has very limited playing options...
Oct: Splatterhouse - nothing on GB sadly. Play Kid Dracula (GB) instead haha. It has a Jason-esque boss.
Nov: Shining Force - Shining Force: Resurrection of the Dark Dragon GBA is a remake, so yeah.
Dec: Super Monkeyball -Super Monkeyball Jr. GBA ...yup.
Jan: Riviera - GBA

ooooooooh. Haha. I have no idea, I've never played any of the GBA Star Wars games. I just was tossing out any remotely GB-related game I could think of.
Re: Upcoming Together Retro Calendar
I've decided to try and participate in this because I finally realized how great an idea it is (after being on the forum for over a year)!
I have KoF: Dream Match 99' for DC. Is that okay for KoF 98? Otherwise I'll try to pick up a copy of the PS2 ports.

playing variations and other entries is common practice for the TR club, and adds to the discussion!
