I was walking around today and found a bunch of Americans drinking together with US jerseys and chanting "USA! USA! USA!". They must've been happy to be able to drink in public.

I went by the hotel where Germans are staying too. Tons of people there.

Yesterday I learned that Mexicans love Subway. They swarmed all Subway stores in town and made sure to hang a Mexico flag in one of them.

It's a pretty weird week to be in the Brazilian Northeast, since we're having a regional holiday (St. John's). I don't think a lot of them understand why people are wearing checkered clothes, straw hats and playing with bonfires in the city, since they only came to watch soccer.

Bosnia are leaving with an honorary victory, Nigeria gave Argentine a run for their money.

Today's the day! May the best team tie!

News that bodes well for US (us) -- Kevin-Prince Boateng and Sulley Muntari were sent home.

With that avatar I'm suspicious of who you mean by us. A German spy allowed in the US? Aaaah, the country went downhill after Franklin D. Roosevelt.

Hahahaah, fair enough.

Blu is short from Blumenthal -- so you guessed it, I come from a family of German immigrants on both sides of the family. I think Germany plays the style of football that US doesn't have the technical prowess for yet. We do overcome this with our fitness and ethic. Germany is my favorite to win the tournament, though. I have to be somewhat realistic, ya know?

Adios Suarez, you won't be missed.

I will agree that Germany plays amazingly and that they are a favorite to win it. But the US is the only team other than my own that I support from the heart, so U S A, U S A, U S A :D

Two hours left. I'm hoping to see you guys win and go ahead first :D

Excellent. Four month ban for Suarez. Won't be able to play for Uruguay at this World Cup or for Liverpool until october. I think he got off lightly considering this is his fourth major disciplinary of his career.

The Uruguayan media, Suarez's squad members and Liverpool fans have all been laughable during this whole thing. I hope now that Columbia absolutely nail them in their game.

The other big news is that Kevin-Prince Boateng and Sully Muntari have been sent home from the Ghana team for abusing the coaching staff. Madness. And the Ghanian FA had to ship $3million dollars in appearance fees to Brazil or they would go on strike. African football, man. So weird.
