Woah, had no idea BB changed so much in the core game. I always thought they just added more content. All of my time spent in Ultimate was in the GC version.

I guess the game wasn't all that balanced to being with, since the Spread Needle is so powerful in the GC version, but much easier to find than something like a Heaven Punisher or Sealed J-Sword.

Someday I'll play BB... when I finally get all of those damn red boxes I've been hunting for!

Spread needle is also severely gimped in Blue Burst. It's short range and the special doesn't work very well on humans in Ultimate.

The S-Rank equivalent you can get from challenge mode fares better with the Arrest special but only as a utility weapon to paralyze certain enemies as the damage is poor.

Still, rangers are by far the easiest character class in Blue Burst because the enemies in Ultimate have jacked up EVP that make them very hard to hit unless you have great accuracy. This means you need to find weapons with percentages in Hit if you want to survive. Ramar and Ramarl are about the only two that can barely manage without.

Episode IV also adds a lot of new broken weapons.

"METAL GEAR!?"

I had fun playing PSO and will continue to play it online via the private servers. I haven't actually beaten it yet. I could in offline mode, but that's not as much fun. If anyone is going to keep playing, let me know.
