The audio is butchered (it is imperfect emulation, after all), but the form factor and game selection is alright. Screen is good. Can add new games via SD card. Definitely a poor man's portable Genesis. Has some novelty factor, but is otherwise a waste, like any of these hardware-but-really-emulation boxes.Mad_Hatter wrote:Has anyone tried this? Just got my Genesis 3 today. Spent 14.99 eBay. I have all 3 systems now and I actually like the model 3. It fits perfectly and doesn't take any room. I have a small room and a small space for my games so its perfect for me.
The video on the model 3 looks good. The sound is mono but whatever. As long as I can play my favorite Genesis games I'm happy.
Update on the cdx. I returned it to the store and got a full refund. The guys understand and was cool. I would of probably only use it a couple times because its so rare and to me 150.00 is not worth it.

Dont know if you know, mas.... but if you have virtua racing for the genesis, it wont work on the genesis 3. Theres a small list of incompatible games.mas wrote:Just got my Genesis 3 today. But on the plus side the genesis 3 has wide slots so it can play many megadrive games!

Ohh I know and I have it but I put it away along with a bunch of other games.
I only keep 25 or so out at all times. Then every season I change it up. Like I have hockey, football, winter theme games or anything around winter or holidays and my favorites.

Played some ESWAT last night. Got to level 4 before losing all continues. Fun stuff, although I wish it just gave you the mech suit right at the beginning instead of making you play as a chunky cop.

Getting ready to go home after work and play some genesis tonight. I feel in the mood for tecmo super bowl. I also can't get enough of streets of rage. I'm going to play sor 3 tonight

The Model 3 Genesis was basically a licensed clone systemflojocabron wrote:Dont know if you know, mas.... but if you have virtua racing for the genesis, it wont work on the genesis 3.
