Since I'm sandpaper face about an hour after an actual shave, I usually just trim when my face gets itchy when it is warm. So I'm somewhere between 'sandpaper with goatee' and 'short full beard' most of the time.

I can't go more than a week or two without shaving without getting an extremely large beard.

you too?
I haven't shaved since Halloween. I'm going to see if I can last until Christmas. It's going well so far!

Half the reason I only shave about once a month is because I can't do it more often. If I shave with a razor every day, my face turns to shit. Honestly, I wish I could shave more often. But the other half is that I mostly don't give a shit. I end up shaving when one of two things happen: The length of the hair gets annoying, or I look in the mirror and go, "Holy shit! THIS is what I look like!" The exception is when I'll shave for an event, like my friend's wedding the other month.
I shave with a buzzer, the kind the barber uses on your neck. It doesn't get really close like a razor, but decent enough. The thing that sucks about it is the hair shoots EVERYWHERE so cleaning up is a pain. It's such a pain, which contributes to why I don't shave more often. But it falls into the "I don't give a shit" category, so there's still only two reasons with rare exceptions.
But Yosh, you reminded me. A few years back I had a couple of deaths to deal with (my grandfather's and my childhood dog) which was on top of the usual stress. So some where in October I stopped shaving, and I didn't shave until Christmas day. That beard was amazing, in both a good and a bad way. People would literally stare at me, including family members.

I also didn't cut my hair, which was kinda long to begin with. I remember my hair being about chin length. The beard hung pretty well. I wish I had picture of it, but I don't. It was fantastic.

Bahahahaha holy shit that's literally exactly what I do.

I haven't shaved in over two years. Just a trim every now and then to keep it professional-ish. I see pictures of myself from when I did not have a beard and it surprises me.

I hate you guys. I can probably do an epic pedo-stache, but that's it. It sucks with my very light/white complexion as well, whenever the 5 o-clock shadow hits I've had people ask me several times in the past "you growing it out?" ... uuuhhhh. And it just looks awful.
So yeah it's all just above my lip, I get nothing but dangling pieces around my chin and on the sides.
So I have to shave what I have everyday pretty much to not look moronic, but yeah it can irritate pretty easily. I use an electric razor and just slap on some post shave lotion afterwards.

Pic #1 was approximately 10 minutes before pic #2.
