Watching the original Dragonball, thank you subs for coming into my life because the dub is horrid, even the uncut one is bad because the characters feel completely different from the dubbing being so off.

Hate to imagine what they'd do to Doraemon..I'm beginning to think Nobita & Shizuka would sound like Phil & Lil from Rugrats...

I don't consider myself to be a nerd but I am definitely proud to be tech-savvy. Computer issues just don't faze me.

I like to think that my friends/family are in awe of my skills just like I'm in awe of my mechanic who was able to identify a cracked spark plug in my car 20 years ago just by the sound.

^When you think about it though, that's not that fantastic of a feat. You could hear a noise from a PC and diagnose a failing hard drive, or just a fan that needs to be tightened. I know very, VERY little about auto repair and whatnot. When this lady I work with described a rattle in her car, I guessed a loose heat shield. Turns out that's what it was!

I don't consider myself to be a nerd, though I'll admit I can be pretty nerdy. But now that I think about it, video games and computer repair are so much more mainstream these days than they are nerdy.

These were brand new plugs that I had just installed in my car (an 82 Olds Cutlass Ciera with a V6). The guy listened and said it was the middle plug in the back. He put his probe on and confirmed that it was the case. I was impressed because it all sounded the same to me.

I think it cracked because it was over-tightened.

I agree. Now a days almost everyone is at least somewhat familiar with computers, and video games are more mainstream than every before. Nearly everyone my age that I know plays games on some level, be it Call of Duty, Street Fighter, or browser games on Facebook.

You would be surprised at how many people are flustered when trying to do a softmod a wii. If/when most grandmothers can do it, then it's mainstream.
