I agree. If you haven't seen it yet, Delicatessen is by the same folks and is more than worth checking out.

I concur.

Oh, and Ron Perlman is awesome.

And yes... you also need to see Delicatessen.

Currently: Watch The Skies, a TCM special about scifi cinema.

Both great movies, Also love Ameli by the same director. Not as strange but a great quirky story.

Hey, he made a new movie last year!

Black Swan. Not really into dance so I couldn't really get into it, but I can appreciate the movie for what it's about at it's core.

Did anyone else get the vibe that the guys who made Tron really wanted to be making a Batman movie for the first 20 minutes or so?

Once it got into the Tron world things picked up, and the soundtrack was great. I've only seen pieces of the first one and I felt like I was missing something.

Overall I'd give it a 7/10. 6/10 without Daft Punk's score and probably a 5/10 without the score or Bridges.

Ack wrote:Le Samouraï - I'd been wanting to see this for years, and I'm extremely glad I finally got the chance. While it doesn't top my favorite of Jean-Pierre Melville's films (L'armée des ombres, ironically the next film he directed after this one), I really enjoyed following Jef Costello around. The problem I have discussing it is that I think you all should see it, so I don't want to give anything away, even when warning about spoilers. No, really, go see it, especially if you enjoy films about hitmen.
Just finished watching it, and I am quite impressed. I did expect the finale to go down as it did, but that didn't make it any less striking. Thanks for the recommendation!

TRON MOTHER FUCKING LEGACY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
MOST BEAUTIFUL THING I'VE SEEN SINCE A WOMAN!!!!!!!!!!

Probably the most perfect plot related ending to a beautiful love affair.
Why did Kevin Flynn blare Journey so loud in his arcade? Was he trying to hear it from the grid?
