Tons of stuff now and recently has plenty of replay value. Something being short doesn't necessarily mean it is good to replay. A good game, or something that incentives a new game +, or a game that has branching paths or alternate storylines are examples of replayability.

A game is only too long if it drags or isnt fun. I have had many RPGs where I finished and thought 'that's all?' and felt like they needed more. Often times the length is stretched by sidequests. Many RPGs can be plowed through fairly quickly on just the main story, but can often take 2 or 3 times longer if the player explores sidequests and side content.

Very true.

And, I think maybe, when people look in on those playing, say, Disgaea, they see "I played this game for hundreds of hours" and think, damn thats too long of a game.

But really, all the game does is give players stuff to do once the game is done, and the people that sunk hundreds of hours into the game only did so because they didn't want to stop playing.

If you go into a "newer" rpg thinking "I have to experience every single thing this game has to offer", then yeah, you might be overwhelmed by the content. But that content often isn't even supposed to be known about until you finish the game, or at least are at the very end of it.

Roger Ebert once said that no good movie is too long, and no bad movie is too short. I feel pretty much the same about video games.

Not sure if i mentioned this before:

The motion controls of RE4 on the Wii are not that big of the deal, they make the target reticle huge in comparison at the laser pointer and also add a bit of auto aim, of course is going to be more easy, also reloading requires two button presses or shacking the wii mote. They also added a shacke the nunchuk and you do a auto aim attac with your knife.

Overall gamecube is THE best way to play this game, on another note using a controller is better than using the wii mote or any motion controls even in something like skyward sword.

I disagree, but that is a matter of taste. I also think the Wii remote is the best way to drive in Mario Kart 8. You remove the motion controls from Skyward Sword and you can't play skyward sword.

Oh boy if i start on the motion controls on mario kart it's going to be long  , actually no it just sucks.

I just played the first part of Skyward sword, barely got the green tunic, with exception of "cut this rope in diagonal" i don't see how this can't be played with a controller. Are parts foward in the game where you NEED motion controls?

Sure you can, Dolphin will map a Wiimote to a controller.

A lot of enemies are direction specific, requiring you to attack in particular directions. A lot of people have complained about the controls for Skyward Sword, but I had none of those problems and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

I am crazy, but motion controls do not suck on Mario Kart 8. Period. People can prefer a thumbstick if they like, but to say the motion controls stink is asinine.

Turning on a thumbstick gives you two options, not turning, or turning as far as you can. Turning with a wii remote gives an expressly diverse amount of control and responsiveness to handling, especially with drifts that, in my opinion destroys the competition.

I've never liked Punch-Out!!

The character designs are atrocious and the controls just feel off.

Come at me.

Punchout is racist! Mike Tyson's Punch-Out supports domestic abuse!
