What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Oh yeah, I was just randomly throwing that out there myself. That "4th" late meal for me kind of helps me sleep and relax.

That's definitely extreme though... we need our food intake, lol.

@elmagicochrisg: Ahhh, I wouldn't know lol. I still need to play those games. I generally still don't like playing third person games with a mouse/keyboard though myself.

I hate PC games. When the game is new you can hardly play it with a normal PC. And when your PC is finally good enough it's not compatible anymore. Patch this, try that, change this name, put in this folder, patch some more, blah blah blah, fuck, shit, dick, motherfuck !!!

Game in question is Max Payne, the first one. Has some horrible sound issues in Vista. There is a patch, but I can't seem to get it to work. Tried the sound patch, and time after time I get this friggin' son of a bitch message:

Exception in engineInt: X_SharedDB: Weapons "empty" and "empty" had same ID

Aargh !!! Fuck !!! Fuck !!! Fuuuuuuck this shit !!!
I found this by typing in that error string in Google, it lead me to 3d Realms forum, then to this forum that has a sound patch download that seems to fix those issues:

Try that.

Smile: Woke up from the best sleep ever, to find an email telling me that a bid from another person had been retracted on a Super Famicom Starfox game. Not really news to be dancing in the street about, but it put me in a good mood.

Pissed: Not much to be honest, the day is going fairly well so far. [touch wood]

Smile: This:

At least in the States the phrase is "knock on wood", to "touch wood" could mean a few things.

Smile: Taking a half day today. Well, more like I'll go into the office, work until 10 or 11am then call it a day. If only MNF was on tonight.

Ticked: I've looked all over, and I still can't find my copy of Rock The Rink.

Well today is not a good day to be impatient. I guess the mail won't run today, which is further delaying the arrival of the packages I'm waiting for. And the bank isn't open, further delaying the linkage of my bank account to my paypal account.
This is like the 52387347th snag I've hit in trying to get my paypal all set up and ready to go. Hopefully tomorrow it'll be done without any problems.

Might I ask what purpose you are linking your bank account to your Paypal account for? Earlier in this thread, myself and a few other members were advising someone to go against it for the use of making your account "Verified", due to Paypal's shaky history with accounts and the fact that you can't get your funds back from a fraudulent issue with a bank account easier than you could with a credit card:

If you're doing it for another reason, carry on then, but just be careful.

:( : Sick today.

2nd :( : I want a TV antenna. I've been using a Genesis RF cable draped across the floor so far, and I can only pick up one channel: KRCG (CBS). If I had a good, real antenna I could probably pick up an ABC, an NBC, and a Fox station.

If you're really desperate you can stick some wire in the coax slot and see what you get. Might want to plastitack it up the wall too.
Since this signature affects old posts, I'm leaving a message here in case anyone searches for my username. This account died in early 2013. I am no longer a fundamentalist.

Don't add to my problems by pretending my past views are still held in the present. I do not have any patience for that. Feel free to ask me what I think now.
