Pfft Ben Folds is way better than Weezer IMO, although I like both.

Did you see the video for Do It Anway with the Fraggles?

It's awesome, even though Hodges likes lens flare as much as JJA.

Propagandhi's new record, Failed States.

good shit. I love how these guys started out as a typical Fat Wreck band with a socio-politcal message, and then became more of a hardcore band with a socio-political message. Awesome.

East Stepper

Complimented on his production skills by the likes of Robert Babbicz, DJ UMB(generationbass.com), DJ Nihal (BBC Radio 1 UK), Bobby Friction (BBC Asian Network) and many local talent also. His productions have been claimed to be amongst the only few Indian Dubstep/D&B productions which are taking the Indian dubstep and drum and bass music to the global level. Thanks to his widely acclaimed productions, he is now a regular feature on BBC Radio 1 and has also been featured and interviewed on BBC Asian Network representing the bass heavy music scene of the country.

East Stepper has a strict motto “Create the music you perform”. And he does it with solid ingenuity and technical skills and his productions don’t stop at D&B and Dubstep only, Mungeritek is his progressive/techno project which has been praised by the world’s most leading EDM sound engineer Robert Babbicz himself. Synesthesia is his ambient chill project and he also creates and performs psychedelic trance under the moniker Children of Anunnaki.

He also doubles up as a percussionist playing the drum kit while bringing his own style to instruments like the djembe, doumbek and conga infusing any dance music with the percussive magic.
Founder of TheMassive(the only indian dubstep and D&B community), and UMI (Music magazine to be launched soon) he is someone who is truly trying to keep it real and interesting.

Devin Townsend Project - Epicloud (2012)
Progressive rock/metal (kinda)

I'm kinda a straight up Devin Tonwsend fanboy, so of course I love this. I don't think this guy is even capable of releasing an album that isn't highly enjoyable on some level. I just love how absolutely varied his music can be while still keeping a very strong identity. Mellow, heavy, chaotic, conventional, or even straight up weird, It always sounds like his music.

Counting all of his various projects that he's helmed, this is actually his 20th album. Considering he essentially started in '95, that's pretty woah.

Epcloud is intentionally poppy and conventional, and straight up fun. Heavier than you might expect though. Kinda a reaction to the chaotic and complex Deconstruction from a couple of years ago, and I'm assuming it's a bit of a stopgap for whatever's coming next. One of the songs is a re-recording of a song of his from 2001, and this new version has some really fantastic vocal work. Anneke Van Giersbergen shows back up a lot on here too, who also appeared on Addicted!, a previous (and somewhat similarly styled) album of his. She's a fantastic vocalist in her own right, and her voice is a nice compliment to Devin's.

The real surprise, though, is "Epiclouder," the second disc that's included with certain versions of the album. 10 more songs originally written for the album, they pretty much comprise an extire extra album on their own. The music is a lot more eclectic, and many of it is rather unlike most of what he's done before. A lot of clean guitar driven stuff, some stranger tunes here and there, and even at least one throwback to Deconstruction and his SYL days.

(I would post some youtube links, but apparently despite the artist himself being okay with that sort of thing, his label/distributor is apparently very much not. The videos that were there seem to have all been taken down.)
