At the very least you could just switch it back to normal afterwards. Medusa was actually the last main story boss I died on.

Anyway, I finished up the game last night. I apparently lucked out a bit and the neutral path. I was leaning towards chaos most of the time but I guess there were a couple big decisions I made that swung it back the other way.
I'm glad I went this route because I didn't like what I saw in those alternate Tokyo's. XD
My final game time was 62 hours, and I was level 88 with a heavy physical build.
I was kind've disappointed there wasn't another boss after fighting Merkabah and Lucifer, but oh well.
All in all, a great game with fantastic mechanics, atmosphere, music, and challenge. Between this and Fire Emblem: Awakening, I've experienced two extraordinarily great games this year on 3DS.

well yeah, that's kind of where I'm at. It's just - I love the gameplay, love the story, love pretty much everything. But being stuck at the same boss for several nights in a row, I'd also love to just see something other than this boss again haha.

That's what I was thinking. I don't think I'd leave it on Easy, but more just lower it to get thru this fight. I actually did last night just to see if the battle was noticeably easier. And I beat her on my first attempt, but then shut the system off without saving.

Weird that you're having so much trouble with her. Cast decrease defense on her and increase defense on you. Start buffing your chars more.

Buffs/debuffs and causing your enemies to lose turns are even more important than gaining turns, IMO. But all are very important. :D

I think I must be seriously overleveled for the main boss fight I just did, I smoked him.
It was the demon that was in the Hotel in Shibuya.
I'm level 40 and my stats are something like:
Str: 40
Dx: 40
Ma: 105
Agi: 50
Lu: 20

so I did drop it to Easy for Medusa. And again, first try she was dead. On Normal I would usually get her down so she was flashing red, ready to die, but just couldn't pull it off. Anyway, got to Tokyo and killed another 'powerful' demon in the subway. Now just exploring.

This is the first time in my two weeks with the game where I all the sudden have felt a little overwhelmed. Maybe it's because at this point the game seems to really open up, but all the sudden I felt like "oh man, I still have a lot ahead of me." It actually made me have to walk away last night and just play something else for a change. I think maybe I had been so into this game and was just putting so much time into it right away - I'm guessing around 18-20 hrs at this point, though my in game clock says 9 or 10. But I think all the sudden I realized "wow, I've barely made a dent!" To put it into perspective, Raptr says that I generally spend about 12 or 13 hrs a week playing games. So if I play just this game (and nothing else!) every chance I get it should take me over 7 weeks to beat it based on the estimation from dudes in this thread that it's a 90 hr game. That's a pretty serious commitment, haha. SO I think I'm going to kind of slow down on it and play other things at the same time so I don't burn myself out.

That said, I still love pretty much everything about the game. Although I must confess, I know it's early on in Tokyo still but I don't really like the modern setting as much. That kind of makes me think though that I probably will enjoy Strange Journey, eh?

well yeah, I figured that since you hadn't played it once in the 2 weeks since I started it was OK to ignore your request. :P
