I don't have a Saturn.

I have Darkstalkers 3 for PS1, and I love it. I have no idea how accurate it is to the arcade, but as a PS1 game I think it's excellent. Apparently 2 never made it to PS1, so I only have the first PS1 game to track down now.

Donkey Kong Jr. e-Reader
Riviera: The Promised Land GBA
Super Mario Bros. 2 Wii
King of Fighters R2 NGPC
Golden Sun: Dark Dawn DS
Metal Slug 2nd Mission NGPC *NEW*
Pocket Tennis Colour NGPC *NEW*
Total: 7

Metal Slug 2nd mission is great fun, I think I might enjoy it even more than the arcade games. Theres a health system (but its not too easy) and there a multiple paths to travel with either of the playable character, depending on whether you win or loses certain levels, keep the metal slug intact or find secret exits. I enjoyed it quite a lot, although it took several restarts - and each time the game was much easier. I guess its the sort of game where knowing whats coming up helps.

Pocket Tennis is hard to decide when to call it beat as such, but I unlocked both secret characters, so that'll do. The game plays nice and simply, it reminds me a lot of Mario's Tennis on Virtual Boy if you've ever played that. It seems different trophies are available during different months of the year (during different star signs) so I guess I have to play it all year around to fully complete it. Not bad overall.

Next up: Mario 3 and Metroid probably, and also maybe Kirby's Dreamland 3.

Plants Vs Zombies - PC
Halo 3: ODST - 360
Enslaved: Odyssey To The West - 360
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - NDS
Unreal Tournament 3 - 360
Dead Space - 360
Harms Way - 360
Starfox Assault - GC
Cut the Rope: Holiday Gift - IOS
The House of the Dead: Overkill - Wii
Fallout 3 - 360

Total: 11

Thoughts on the Game(s)

Harms Way, while really basic and boring its hard to complain about a free game, I have done all achievements but 1 online one (as I don't have a gold account).

Starfox Assault, a lot of people complain about this entry in the series but I really enjoyed the game overall, sure the on foot sections could have been better, but its a solid game.

Cut the Rope: Holiday Gift, I love when these type of games are published, I hate these 'lite' versions but its great when they release exclusive levels (similar to Holiday Nights back in the day)

The House of the Dead: Overkill, fun and overtly over the top, such an awesome game and the best final boss, ever!

Fallout 3, I enjoyed this game but not enough to do all the side missions, I just got bored, so I decided to stick to the main story to make sure I actually finished the game. But overall I did enjoy the game quite a lot.

PS: IM BACK BABY!!!

2/9 The King of Fighters XI (PS2)

Taking a trip down memory lane with one of my favorite CPS-2 games, the original Street Fighter Alpha. Still a great game even if SFA2 made it a little obsolete. I remember being amazed back in the day that Capcom had finally re-invented Street Fighter instead of releasing more versions of SFII.

King of Fighters XI. This game was kind of disappointing. It's a solid fighter but I feel like the developers may have gild the lily with some of the additions they made. Although a re-working of the games art assets was welcome, the characters all seem puny and uninteresting even compared to the KoF 94 originals. Oh and fuck that last boss. That is SNK Final Boss Bull-Shit taken to the max.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Looking forward to hearing what you thought of Limbo, I utterly loved it. So much charm!

Seems to be the year of beating fighters, I tend to consider them finished if I beat arcade on normal, unless of course there are unlock-able characters, in which case I NEED EM ALL!

I might try for Powerstone (on the DC), if I recall its a beat with all character to unlock a character affair?

It seems you're right about that. Fighters are definitely what I've been focusing on, though that's possibly more because I've been busy lately and fighters are easy to start up.

Of course, I just started playing games again a couple of days ago after a three week period of no enthusiasm at all. Happens every once in a while.

Peggle Extreme, not bad for a freebie, I enjoyed it enough but I would not want to pay to for 'peggle experience'.

Hot Throttle was one of J T's additions to the browser game thread. It's an extremely odd game but quite fun. I was able to take first overall after I got 1st, 1st, 1st, 8th, and 1st in the five races.

Pokemon Puzzle Challenge is one of those games I can just pick up, play, and finish quickly. I took it with me to my C++ lab, and once I finished that, I went to my next class, sat down, and started playing. In the half-hour before class started, I was able to complete Hard mode, which goes all the way through to Lance, the champion. However, in all the years I've had that game, I still haven't gotten all the available Pokemon. I need to do that.

    Red Dead Redemption (PS3)
    Demon's Souls (PS3)
    Dead Space: Ignition (PSN)

    *New*Dead Space 2 (PS3)
I beat this about a week after it came out, but I didn't really want to talk about it since others might still be playing. And I still don't, cause spoilers do suck. So all I will say is that is a great follow up, lots of gameplay is refined, but it does have a few issues in terms of level / world design.

    *New*Costume Quest (PSN)
Picked this up in a recent sale because it looked charming as hell, and I felt like I needed another light game after Dead Space 2. If you are unaware of what this game is about, basically its a short, bare bones RPG centered around the mechanic that your characters can change costumes on Halloween to change the battles accordinly.

This game is really aimed at a younger audience, but it can be enjoyed by anyone. Just don't come in expecting a deep combat system. Its basically attack, attack, use special ability, rinse, repeat. It can get a little tedious in the more combat heavy areas, but the dialoge with the NPC's and the world that was crafted is interesting enough to keep you involved. And you end up wanting to find out what costume you will get next.

Unfortunately, the game suffers from a terrible, and very noticable, framerate. It oftens starts stuttering, even with very little happening on the screen. As well, if you have already started before the patch, you will run into a game breaking bug near the end that will force you to restart the game. And for some reason, this was not fixed in the patch. Starting a game aftering patching is safe though.

Bottom line, this game is not worth the 15 dollars it normally asks, but if you can get it on sale (I got it for 50% off) its quite and enjoyable experience. I will be picking up the expansion at some point myself.

Up next?
I've been having trouble motivating myself to play new games lately. On the single player side I just want to play more of Demon's Souls and Dead Space 2 (I want the platinum trophies), and on the multiplayer side I have been playing the Project M demo and the Killzone 3 Beta. If anyone wants to look through my backlog and make a suggestion of what to tackle next, I'd be down for that.
