Hello! I just made an account, but I've been watching the site for a long time. It's the only real updated retro gaming site I can find and as I find myself moving further and further away from current consoles, I'm starting to realize I'm probably going to just be sticking with classic games from now on... It's all basically just been remakes of the same games for about 10 or more years now anyway.

Plus, the only console I brought to college this year was my Super Nintendo and I've been fine.

Either way though, I love the site and hopefully the forums will help me get a bit more out of it.

hey just finally registered the other day. I'm 22 and i live in north carolina for another week. which means packing up and all that fun stuff. i've just in the past few months been getting into emulators to play my childhood favs, but having a mac kinda blows for emulators. was really big into rpgs but lately every single one i start in on i just get bored with so i've been sticking to mame and gba.
cant wait to get home so i can get all my games back from my little brother. plus i plan on building my own mame stand up over the summer but im still quite a ways from being able to think about that right now
i think one of the reasons i like this site is i keep finding more and more games i've never heard of and have to play which is why i dont like playing newer games because when i was heavily into them i'd go get the hip new game beat it a few times then be stuck waiting for the next great game i'd rather just wait for it all to drop in price or till my brother to get tired of them

great site rocked my world when i first stumbled across it about 2 months ago
thanks racketboy

Hi! I just registered an account because I read about the "Together Retro" idea and thought it sounded like a lot of fun. (I have fallen victim to the emulator syndrome myself, and I would really like to enjoy some older games.) I first started reading articles on RacketBoy when I saw the Hidden Gems articles, which are really quite fantastic.

I have just finished my first year at university. I enjoy travelling, and swimming. When I'm not in swim practice (I swim competitively) I am lifeguarding or teaching swimming lessons. I also have a bit of an inner geek; I use linux and enjoy playing retro video games.
