"I AM the one who knocks!"
That was a pretty iconic season 4 moment, but damn if both Jesse and Gus didn't have some incredibly memorable moments this season too.
Has Dish lost their damn minds? Dropping AMC, what many consider the best network on TV for television programs right now? I'm not saying there isn't good TV on other channels, because there is, but dropping the network that has critical darlings like Breaking Bad and Mad Men, and huge ratings grabbers like The Walking Dead seems pretty crazy to me. Plus, The Killing is getting some good buzz. This channel keeps pumping out winners. I would refuse to get Dish for that alone

It's all politics. And I think amc raised their price.
The only show they have that really does well ratings wise is The Walking Dead. The killing might not even get another season, and breaking bad is done after this. Like I said before, amc has done a piss poor job of handling their lineup. Why wasn't there a breaking bad marathon? Why isn't the season 4 finale on right now instead of. . . Alien vs predator? Why are the only reruns played at 2am? Look at the advertising onslaught fx gives their shows. I'm almost dreading the endless run of SOA promos that will be coming up.
Anyway. . . Here we go!!!

Fun episode. Walt is already becoming unlikeable. . . Or maybe it's just my expectations that he will? I was sort of disturbed for skyler as he walked into the bedroom at the end of the episode.
The jump forward was unexpected. I liked the throwback to the birthday bacon. Clearly they having things planned out since they're showing where he ends up. I'm guessing we will get there by episode 8.

Also to keep in mind, the flash forward doesn't necessarily take place a full year from now. He may have been celebrating the birthday on his fake ID.

Good episode. I liked the New England references: NH (Live Free or Die), Boston, Swampscott. Looking forward to the rest of the season.
I was caught off guard that the show is on at 10pm, not 9pm. I thought that maybe my DVR didn't record it.
Did anyone watch the show following BB: Small Town Security? Is it any good?

Re: Breaking Bad Season 3 Starts Tonight
Nope. Even if it had looked good, I probably would have skipped it just because of their "see a preview of the next breaking bad during small town security" bullshit. Seriously, i can't think of a network that uses more manipulative advertising practices. Remember when they grouped the rubicon series premiere in with the breaking bad season 3 finale so it looked like the finale was longer and so your dvr would record rubicon?gtmtnbiker wrote:

Yeah, I disliked AMC's strong arm tactics regarding Small Town Security as well. You basically had to watch the show to see a preview of next week's Breaking Bad, as well as see the Walking Dead season 3 trailer. Screw that. I turned off the TV and went back to playing Lollipop Chainsaw. I don't support that kind of BS

It's funny how everyone now sees Walt for what he has become, and Jesse of all people is the one acting like Walt's the greatest guy.
I liked the magnet idea, because Jesse came up with it. He's truly becoming a man of hidden talents since last season.

What were those numbers under the picture? Bank accounts (I thought I saw "Cayman")? Any way that could be a problem for Walt - I don't see the issue as of yet...
