Yup, there's an American version. When ever you have a question like that regarding Castlevania games, this is the best place to go...

only difference is that I found the Japanese version for a lot cheaper than the US version.

So there is no real reason to buy the game if you own the American version?

Those are the hard to find ones. Ive got a bunch more of the "top shelf" games as well. Ill have to look again after work.

Hmm I don't have that many super rare games yet, though I do have a LOT of classics in box, particulary for the NES, SNES, and N64....I guess what I'm most proud of is my copy of Sin and Punishment for the N64, complete and in box, near mint condition. GREAT game.
Star Fox 2? Was that just released in Japan only?

It is a repro, it was never released.
