I hate PC games. When the game is new you can hardly play it with a normal PC. And when your PC is finally good enough it's not compatible anymore. Patch this, try that, change this name, put in this folder, patch some more, blah blah blah, fuck, shit, dick, motherfuck !!!

Game in question is Max Payne, the first one. Has some horrible sound issues in Vista. There is a patch, but I can't seem to get it to work. Tried the sound patch, and time after time I get this friggin' son of a bitch message:

Exception in engineInt: X_SharedDB: Weapons "empty" and "empty" had same ID

Aargh !!! Fuck !!! Fuck !!! Fuuuuuuck this shit !!!

Huh. I have Max Payne installed on my Vista with the sound patch, and it runs fine.

I've only had a few, not more than I can count on my fingers, but I'll never forget the first one I had years ago at my first job and since then I've been able to pinpoint them directly when they randomly and rarely happen. I seem to have major spikes of energy levels, down or up, and I can't skip a meal or go long without food before I start feeling pretty terrible, really irritable, etc...

Definitely my big plan for this year, is to pinpoint what's going on with my health now that I got this new job and can actually get some checkups done.

I'm sorry to hear about all that CFFJR, but it's a really good thing you discovered this sooner than later.
If I go without one of my 4 meals a day I tend to pass out, but I've never figured out why. Eating 4 meals a day has kept it at bay though.
Yeah, eating a light meal a little before I go to bed usually helps me sleep as well. I hear it's not the healthiest thing to do, but hey I need sleep. lol

Tell me about it...

Now I've got the patch working. Apparently the patch doesn't work when the game files are in the program files folder. I had to make a new map outside of the program files folder. The options screen has music now. But as soon as I start the tutorial or a new game the loading bar stops halfway, the game crashes and windows says it'll get back to me as soon as they find a solution for the problem. Which is never...

Sigh, this is insane...

See, that's why I like console gaming. Especially previous generations. Put game in console. Play...

Max Payne 1-2 are on XBLA (originals?) I believe, if you want to go that route... spending more money though, lol.

Max Payne is one of the few games I refuse to play on a console. The game just screams for mouse control.

That, plus I don't do download games...

Oh I didn't mean sleep, I mean literally pass out. I'll be walking along checking out so TVs or something, feel woozy, my vision goes dark, and next thing I know I'm waking up on the floor of a Best Buy with people looking over me.

As long as I eat 4 times a day. I'm fine.
