What was the last movie you've seen?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

I watched:

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World
I didn't like this one. The characters were selfish and petty. The humor dissolved into a bunch of over the top gimmicks. It had its moments, but no memorable gestalt.

The Good The Bad The Weird
This was OK. It felt like Kung Fu Hustle meets Shanghai Noon. Unfortunately, the characters were a little shallow for me to warm up to them, but it moved briskly and had a lot of action. Not a waste of time.

The Green Mile
A masterpiece. People will be watching this 70 years from now.

The Thin Red Line: I have been planning on watching this for years. Finally got around to it and I liked it. A little too poetic at times, which I certainly appreciate, but made the movie feel like it was dragging a little too much. Great performances from every actor, except Travolta. He just sounds the same in everything - he throws in a bit of a twang here and there, but he never impresses me. Maybe in Pulp Fiction and when he's playing a fat chick, but it's hard for me to think of others (I know there are others so don't get mad at me). Maybe I just don't see him the same way since Battlefield Earth.

But the point of the movie IS the over the top gimmicks and douchebaggian characters.

Basically it's a look into our heads while playing games multiplayer with a friend.

Looks a lot better than 2 did thats for sure, Alpha Trions inclusion should add something interesting to the story.

Hikari Sentai Maskman: The Movie.

I haven't see the show, but I liked this movie. And by "movie", I mean it's only 21 minutes long with a theatrical release, apparently in a double bill with a Dragon Ball movie.

The plot involves a mermaid whose song is used by one of the villains (Igam, I believe) as a means of causing a massive worldwide earthquake.

You can watch the fansubbed version here. This fansub is courtesy of EliteJustice, who also uploaded tons of their fansubs on Veoh, like Fiveman (another good Super Sentai series), Guyferd and Lion Maru G.
