What was the last movie you've seen?

I've seen enough of it to know that it's bizarre.

And I recently watched "Disaster Movie". Pretty funny, but worth a rental at best.

Personally, If a film has to tell you that it's a 'movie' in the title it's probably not worth watching.

This just about sums up every single one of these god awful 'movie movies'.

I wish they'd do a musical parody film, which would parody RENT, Wicked, Hairspray, REPO!, Rocky Horror, High School Musical (ironically, it is itself a parody), and more.

Possible plot: Tracie Turnbad tries to teach New York's East Side a lesson in tolerance that it doesn't really need, while Mark Corey tries to make a movie about life in New York City, while his friend/roommate Roger Davidson deals with being on withdrawal from Cidrate, peddled by the Grave Digger. Meanwhile, the Repo Guy is killing homeless people and harvesting their organs. While Tracie teams up with rabble-rouser Elepfa Thopp, who in turn squabbles with Garinka Upperland over Lark Lincoln, the crooner from The Cornball Collins Show, who is also a Wingus Prince and the star of the baseketball team (he's a parody of Link Larkin from Hairspray, Fiyero from Wicked, and Efron's character from that crapfest High School Musical). Meanwhile, the Leggo family attempts to keep their Generic Opera from becoming integrated.

Some ideas:

* In a scene, Garinka slaps Elepfa (a parody of an Act 2 scene from Wicked), and Elepfa starts laughing hysterically, and cites that she "can't feel a fuckin thing", which seques into a parody of "Zydrate Anatomy".
* The antagonist, Madam Horrible, is named after Wicked's "Madam Morrible". She ownes the station that plays both The Corny Collins Show and The Generic Opera
* In a parody of the opening monologue from the film version of "RENT", Mark Corey says that he plans on making a movie that "is just a bunch of random shit spliced together to give the illusion of depth and artistic talent".
* A parody of "La Vie Boheme"
* A parody of every major showstopper marks the end of the movie, which switches between different song parodies.

And I just got to see Brick, a high school film noir. Seriously, if you're a fan of detective noir films, this one is definitely worth a look. I absolutely loved every minute of it and recommend it completely.

Happy Feet and Click on TV last night.

They're nothing like what the trailers suggest!!

Just watched The Yakuza, directed by Sydney Pollack about an American who must return to Japan in the mid-70s to help recover a friend's daughter from a Japanese criminal syndicate. A lot more happens in the meantime, but...well, you'll just have to watch it. I really liked the film, I think it serves well to give a little insight into Japanese culture, at least more so than most Americans get normally. It isn't perfect, but certainly not bad.

And I just watched Resident Evil Degeneration. It was alright. Great CGI, but the lipsync was horrible in both languages. Story was your typical RE shit. Watch it if you want to see Claire and Leon kick some ass together again. It mimics quite a few events in RE2.

Yeah, Degeneration was ok...special features weren't much either. Coraline was awesome and you should all watch it, and The Onion Movie was...well, honestly, it's ok in bits and pieces, but kinda meh overall. Armed Gunman was probably the best sketch, alongside neckbelts.

Aliens on DVD. I recently purchased the Quadrilogy, so I'm working through them. Again. :D
