Started Blue Dragon on the 360 a few days ago, first RPG I've played for a while. It's all pretty much the usual stuff, but it's well done so I'm getting along with it.

That was essentially my feelings on the game. There's nothing really new here (it's essentially FFV's job system but lets you stack more abilities) but what it does do it does well. And the boss theme is just epic once you realize it's essentially Deep Purple + The Black Mages.

Yeah, it has that distinct Uematsu flavour all right. I've found the music a slight let down so far, some good themes but they don't stick with me much. But oh wow, I just found out that Tara Strong voices the girl in your party in the English version. That's enough for me to raise my rating of the game another point out of ten.

It's not Uematsu's best work, but it's decent enough. You're right that there really havent' been any themes that stick with you, but I've found that to be the case for much of his more recent work. VII was the last game composed by Uematsu where I would regularly have the tunes stick with me. Certain VIII and IX tunes do thanks to his work with the Black Mages, but they didn't when I played the games.

I'm a pretty big fan of the FFVIII, IX and X soundtracks. He rarely disappoints me, and this is the first time for a while. Though I thought the latest Black Mages wasn't quite as good as the first two, but it still grew on me. Curse my fanboyism

Started Nocturne, I'm not loving this game as much as everyone else, it's a bit too much of a dungeon crawler for me

After taking a break from from RPG's with some great solid platformer's, I've started a couple of RPGs.

I recently got a X-Box and have started KOTOR....I'm about 4 hours into it. Its been fun and annoying so far. I usually play jrpgs so there is a big difference between them!

I started Phantom Brave: We meet Again on the Wii. I'm about 2 hours into it. I really liked Desagia (sp?) and have enjoyed the first two hours of this one.
