SJ definitely has harder final bosses than IV did.

Medusa... wasn't expected another hard boss fight so soon after the Minotaur. I've got four characters hitting her with Force attacks, so 8 hits. And she's still wrecking me.

I think I beat her first try. Maybe second. Can't remember. Honestly don't remember what the strategy was. She charms your party?

It took me a few tries to beat her. I just kept hitting her with Force until she died. After a long time.

yeah I'm not sure why this is a hard battle for me. Like I said, all four are using Force (as opposed to my only one who used Bufu against the Minotaur). Although sometimes it feels luck is involved, like if she hits a critical and then grins, y'know? Anyway, I didn't get as much time to play last night as I had hoped. I'm sure I'll take her out tonight.

Where'd you year that? Strange Journey doesn't really have much of a story. Strange Journey is more about the dungeon crawling, akin to the Etrian Odyssey series.

I seriously hate to admit this publicly, but I'm seriously considering to switching to Easy at this point. I don't even give a fuck what you guys think. I've spent 5 or 6 hours on Medusa the last few days. Either getting brutalized by her proper, or grinding near her. It's just insane. I mean, I love this game - but knowing I'm only (at best) a third of the way through the game, there's definitely something appealing to me (knowing my limited time and the fact that other games exist) about having a difficulty that's more manageable so I can see it progress again.

When it comes to video games my philosophy is: "Play it however the hell you wish."

You're supposed to be having fun, after all, not frustrating yourself.
