I honestly find that boss the hardest in the game, at least at the level I usually am when I get there. His attacks are very hard to dodge, and at that point as a hunter you can't hit him, and as a ranger you do very little damage.

So, grats on taking that bastard down! The next two areas are very awesome, so you are in for a treat!
Yeah he was tough. My preferred gun did shit. Had to use sword.and dodge and lots of dimate/monomate. So addicted to this game.

Btw, hyperdimension is prob the only rpg that I've enjoyed BECAUSE of the story.and writing.

sorry, bud. :(

...The Mines are TOUGH. I died for the first time in many hours while escorting the idiotic scientist who always forgets to do things like 'defend self' or 'heal self.' Asshole.

Slowed down on Lost Odyssey, but still chucking away at it. I'd say it's one of those games that has fun achievements along the way to 100% completion or so. At this point outside of mostly some treasure chest / fetch quests and minor stuff, I just have the Temple of Enlightenment to tackle before getting back to the main quest. I think the Super Heavy backyard key is in there too, so that'll be interesting since the arena was pretty awesome. I hope the hype doesn't disappoint, because the 4th disc has been so easy at this point it's insane lol. Persona, etc, and other optional bosses sounded challenging on paper but I can't remember the last time I died, when that was not uncommon on the earlier discs lol.

Was the DLC any good or worthwhile?

Started up Fire Emblem: Awakening and I'm a couple of chapters in. This is my kind of Tactical RPG, it's great so far! (But where's their feet?)

On day 2 of lockdown in Devil Survivor Overclocked. I played the original on DS. This isn't much different. Still great. I am already 7 hours in. Could have done this in half the time, but I've spent lots of time grinding, using the auction house, and fusing demons. The battle system is fun so while I may be over leveling I don't even care. Also trying to crack every skill possible.

Is the gameplay similar to Persona? Or what?

Fusion is similar. But it is a tactical RPG. There will be familiar demons, of course. Like in other Atlus games. Jack Frost and others. :)

Ah! Well color me interested ... eventually. I just started Fire Emblem and that'll scratch my tactical RPG itch for now.

Yuffie the lucky ninja.

I'm grinding for AP in the Northern crater before I fight Sephiroth. Yuffie is level 77. An enemy attacks her and brings her health down to exactly 7777. She get's the "Lucky 7's" status an insta kills everyone.

Best character ever.
