Analog stick placement seems kind of bad too. Putting them lower would probably mean accidentally hitting them when using the touchscreen. As-is probably means accidentally mashing buttons with your palm.
However, option to use the Classic controllers or something will probably be there. If there's one thing Nintendo loves to sell lately, it's accessories.
Nintendo should have just went back to the basics; a nice small, powerful, black box with wireless versions of the Wii Classic Controllers. 1080p graphics, games are on blu-ray discs or perhaps even a new type of cartridge. With a 1TB HDD, it's also backwards compatible with gamecube, wii, and you can transfer all your saves from those consoles as well as all your virtual console games. - THIS would be my dream nintendo system.

And would possibly alienate their new customers. It is a pipedream and it wont be happening anytime soon. Cartridges are the biggest pipedream out of all of that.

I am currently home sick from work so you will have to forgive my sarcasm detector's inaccuracy. Are you being serious? I thought it was kind of weak. They were well rehearsed, but sounded extremely tiny for the epic songs they were representing.

Yeah, I am being serious. Was it the greatest symphony performance of all time? No. Was it the highlight of the 3 conferences? Yes.

How would it alienate anyone? I think the Wii motion controls and this new controller would alienate people more than classic controllers would... And cartridges actually make more sense, they can hold TBs of space now and they are super small and compact, they cant get scratched, and loading times would be not as long. All they would need to do is build some way of blocking people from copying games and pirating. its very possible.
