I beat Legendary Axe and JJ and Jeff last night - my 20ish year quest is now over. Legendary Axe is just excellent, but JJ and Jeff...dont play that unless you want an unfair challenge in what feels like an unfinished game.
Now I am playing through the Bonks, followed by Ninja Spirit.
What platformer are you playing now?

Champion's Road? I want to unlock it but I've still got some things to ccollect in the bonus worlds. The first 8 Worlds I have 100%'d though. I'll get to it sometime....emwearz wrote:I am stuck on the final level of Super Mario 3D World, utterly doing my head in, marathon is just pissing me off when I make a small mistake. Super Meat Boy style pissing me off.

Yeah Champions Road.
The first 8 world are almost a warm up for the 'special' worlds, similar to 3D Land, they are just so basic and easy compared to them. Then it feels like all other 'special' worlds are just a warm up to Champtions Road, the jump in difficulty of the two level in it is massive.
The difficulty of Champions Road is multiplied by the fact the length is so long and a single mistake generally means you go back to the start.

Super Mario World.
I always play it the same way. I finish Star Road and the Special levels as soon as I can, once I get to World 2. Then I defeat Bowser by entering the Front Door of his castle.
Then after watching the ending, I resume playing the "normal" levels. I head through the game, find all the secret exits, defeat Bowser by entering the Back Door, and get ★96.
Currently, I'm in World 3, the underground area.

Easy yeah, but no less fun. Me and my brother have had a blast working together collecting everything so far. I've played all but maybe 3 of the bonus levels and just need to go back through a couple of them to grab some stars. Just been taking a break from the game for a while now.emwearz wrote:Yeah Champions Road.

Re: What platformer are you playing now?
I've been playing Super Mario 3D World quite a bit. Still chipping away at it. I've got all the stamps and stars up through the Star World.
I popped Super Mario 3D Land back in ... I have the final level available and it's pissing me off to no end. I remember this game being easier to control, but playing on Wii U has really messed this all up. The 3DS slider pad is really poorly suited compared to actual analog sticks, something I didn't really have an issue when I played the game in '11. I'm sure I'll get it eventually, but GEEZ.

On a Kirby marathon right now.
Playing through the collection on Wii, then I'll do Epic Yarn.

That game is boss. If I was in Maine, I would happily scrub in as Player 2. Have fun!BoneSnapDeez wrote:...then I'll do Epic Yarn.

Yeah I love it! So cute.

James Pond 2. What a pile of crap. It's enjoyable in that "brings me back to that one time I rented James Pond 2" kind of way.
But what a terribly designed game.
