My in-laws both work at OSU, so while I'm not really into football at all, I get more than my fill of Buckeyes. :)

I grew up playing Atari, then NES and Genesis (and all its add-ons), then SNES at home and in the arcades - Street Fighters, Mortal Kombats, Samurai Sodowns, and various other Capcom, Midway (NBA Jam anyone?), and Neo Geo machines. Saturn for too short a time, then Square RPGs, then Goldeneye, Mario Cart, Smosh Bros, and Dreamcast during my high school drinkin and gamin days. Mostly Xbox through college, Halo 1 and 2 through my college dropout - working at liquor store years. Then Halo 3 for not as long as I initially thought. Sold my 360 and now days Im playing Saturn and Dreamcast mostly. I also emulate just about everything on my computer.

Not much better than a few beers and a few hours on some Capcom or SNK fighters.

Hi everyone, I'm Chris, soon to be 25, married and a baby on the way!

Mechanic by trade.

I collect and play games, these days I spend more time collecting than playing tbh. I have ammassed quite a collection as well. Which is starting to cause an issue with storage.

I'm quite into my racing sims, curently playing Forza 2 mostly, my 360 is also my newest console, although the mrs says shes getting me (us?) a Wii for my birthday next month.

Hi my name's Jake. I'm a 25 yr old college student. i love South Park, 90's rock music, running, MMA, and of course video games. i used to collect comic books but haven't been into that for years.

i've been addicted to videogames since i was 5 and my dad bought a NES and used it as a babysitter. recently i've really started getting into collecting great games for all my fav platforms. my current mission is to own all of the games on the IGN.com Top 25 games list for each console and PC.

ign is my fav game reviewers and i've been trusting their reviews since ignpc way back when. PC Gamer is my fav mag of all time and if i had to pick a fav platform it would be PC (even though that's not really fair cuz it's been evolving for years and therefore has a superlong lifespan) but i haven't had a decent computer since 2001 so i prefer the 1990s games.

if i have to pick a fav console i'll probably go with Dreamcast, but i like all of the major consoles since NES. i have not much interest in the most obscure consoles but i might invest in a sega CD sometime down the road.

my current systems include:
3rd party nes/snes hybrid
n64
dreamcast
ps2
xbox
gamecube
xbox 360
GBA
this craptastic PC

the systems i want but can't afford yet or stupidly let my parents garage sale when i was young and stupid:
original NES
original SNES
genesis
Saturn
Wii
DS
PS3
a new powerful PC

don't really have a favorite genre, i just love great games (and a few not so great ones.)

Hi my name’s Pat. I’m a 24 year old self-employed entrepreneur. I’m a voracious reader. Four months ago a new hobby began taking up more and more of my time and that’s what lead me here. I can’t get enough video games. Didn’t play to many games throughout my college years as I was busy studying and couldn’t afford to be dropping $50 a pop for great games. Maybe that’s why I love the classic games. Something about them brings back fond memories of childhood.

Currently Playing: Sega Bass Fishing (Caught an 18 lb. 2 oz Bass the other day.), Raiden Trad, Samurai Showdown and Zombies Ate My Neighbors.

Looking forward to being a part of the community here.

Hey there!

I'm Adam from Columbus. I've been coming to Racketboy now for quite awhile. I discovered it back when I was googling for SNES sites, and I found that there was a name for my 2D gaming addiction-"Retro gaming." I was so happy to find several internet communities dedicated to old games, and people like me who just won't give em up. Racketboy has been one of the main catalysts in my renewed love of gaming.

I'm currently a student at The Ohio State University, double majoring in Fine Art and Italian; two majors that will set me up for a nice cardboard box someday. I am also on the varsity rowing team here at Ohio State. It's really hard and a huge time commitment, and I complain a lot about it, but I for some reason I love it. And I'd hate to think what I'd be doing right now if I had never started rowing. Pretty much, if I'm not gaming or painting, I'm probably on the river-it's my life right now.

I get my gaming fix on the SNES, DS, Wii, Xbox 360, and PSP. I also own a PS2, but it's been collecting dust lately. I just got HD cables for it, so I'm hoping it will spark a desire to fire up some old favorites. Because of crew, I am on the road a lot traveling to races and so my handhelds get more playtime than my consoles.

My favorite games are RPGs-I love, love, love Phantasy Star! Also, Final Fantasy, and Pokemon. I'm currently playing Startropics, The Orange Box, Phantom Hourglass, and Actraiser. I'm kinda of ADD when it comes to games, so I have to have a good set to cycle through at all times or I get bored with one game quickly.

I do play more than just RPGs. I finished Assassin's Creed last month, and as awesome as it was, it just wasn't enough to warrant the purchase of the DS version... A couple weeks ago I finally got through the end of Wind Waker. I had been stuck for awhile, and I lost the will to finish Ganon's Tower, but five years later, and it's done. Hopefully I'll complete Twilight Princess a little faster than that.

Here's the obligatory aliases...

Anyway, that's my intro, I hope I haven't left anything out. Can't wait to meet you all!
