I run http://www.gamereproductions.com , you can get them from me if you want off the site =) (Sorry, shameless plug!)

I bought a SMB2j from you a couple years ago, man. Good stuff! Welcome to the RB forums!

Thanks, glad ya liked it =)

I actually just got DQVI and Seiken Densetsu 3 from you in the mail and they work great! Labels look awesome too! Will order from again!

It'd be cool if there was a nice faq for doing NES or SNES repros, as much work as it sounds like it'd still be nice to know the steps.

The info IS out there, I didn't come up with this stuff on my own. In a nut shell, all you're really doing is removing the mask ROM and replacing it with an EPROM or some kind of memory. There's a little more to it than that, but that's basically all your doing.

It IS a lot of work, but it's not necessarily hard or anything if you have the skills. I would NOT recommend trying it if your experienced in soldering. You also have to be willing to spend the time on it, and the money to get all the necessary equipment.

I'm amazed I never saw this thread crop up before... these all look amazing! Great job on your work because it seems to definitely be paying off with how authentic they look and how the forum members seem to be enjoying them!

I'm really quite interested in these and would love to buy some from you.... However I can't say I've got funds right now, so don't take that as a 100% yes thing. Mostly, I just wanted to commend you and express my desire to (hopefully) buy one or two in the near future.

Thanks for the compliments! They're always much appreciated. I'd be more than happy to make a cart or two for you, if you ever want one. Just let me know.

Niode wrote:@ziggy, snowkitty was saying that it's really hard to get hold of in the states. He's still waiting for his to come and I've had mine weeks and I bought it after he did! So yeah, if you want me to get you one just let me know. It's the least I can do for your help.

Thanks, I think I'll take you up on that offer. At your own convenience, the next time you come across one at a cheap price I'll take it. No rush at all.

How hard would it be to do a repro of rendering rangers r2?

Make one because it's been translated? Or because it's rare and expensive?

More of the latter - the one guy i found with a loose one stopped responding to me. I'm following that cib one on ebay but i imagine thats gonna shoot up to some extraordinary figures toward the end.

edit: I'm also interested in getting an uncensored version of cybernator (translated japanese rom of Assault Suits Valken)

This one? There's only about 2 days left and it's only up to $1.75, I figured it'd be bidded up a little higher by now. How much should this game fetch?

Has this game been translated? I wouldn't mind making a translated cart for it, but making a more or less bootleg copy just because it's a rare and expensive game is kinda frowned upon.

Oh cool, I was not aware of this. How is Cybernator censored?

One of the bad guys shoots himself in JP, and I think someone dies on reentry. Also, they removed the portraits from the chat boxes when the game came to the US.

I've now purchased three - count 'em - three different Stunt Race FX carts. I was very explicate about the quality I required for the latest cart I bought, very clearly mentioning I needed the back label to be scuff and scratch free, and the back label was by far the worst of the three. What the hell?!

I just don't care enough to do it for myself, but I did think of scanning the back label of one of my carts (the best condition possible) to use to replacement labels. I know a few people have mentioned that they'd like to fix crummy back labels, so if any one wants, I can get around to scanning it sometime and upload it with the proper dimensions to print.
