If you're seeing that many it's strange, only in that they probably have setup a hive in your home somewhere. Gutters(under the roof edge), in the attic, walls, somewhere. That frequent would mean scouting around for whatever reason (defense, more building materials, gathering.) You may have a real problem. I had a few of them try that on an in facing corner space just under the shingle space where the gutter was and unloaded half a can of raid on them to put an end to that.

:D : Excited about leaving work. My resignation goes through the Tuesday after Labor day weekend. Working for the USPS just became a complete drag and I lost all faith in their workforce and management. It's a very solid job with great benefits but I was counting every minute till I could leave each day and I would have been miserable working there for the rest of my life(if the USPS in it's current state manages to survive that long :P).

:D : Also pretty deep into planning my Appalachian Trail hike plan as of the moment is to either start my thru in January then get off trail in May to catch my brothers wedding then head back to finish once Mt. Katahdin(Northern End of AT) opens up later in May or June. Either that or I'll start later and get off trail in the middle for the wedding then hit the second half. Definitely leaning towards a January though even if it means carrying more weight with winter gear(have a four season tent + 0 degree bag anyways) and having winter weather to deal with. I prefer to travel solo so the low traffic and the decreased bear/tick issues is quite appealing plus I run hot anyways.

:? : Only real issues I'm running into right now is the housing and the dogs.

I'm kind of in a pickle with the dogs though if one is my brothers and the other one was my dads but he never took care of him so I ended up with him.
I'm not one of those crazy people who want to put their pet through a 5 month hike so I need to leave him with someone which my plan was to leave him here with my brother and his fiance and their dog. However they are talking about moving to Indiana now and even better they are talking about moving into an apartment which means they will probably be leaving their dog here with me  . So I have to tackle that if issue if it pops up I need to talk to them about the possibility of helping them get a house up there if they move as long as they will agree to take my dog and give me a place to stay for a few weeks once I finish my hike. Was hoping my mom would help but she is moving into a town house with her boyfriend who has two cats :P.

As for housing me, my brother and his fiance were all living with my mom here. Well she found a new job and is moving Saturday to North Carolina to live with her new boyfriend permanently. Deal is we can stay here as long as we need we just have to split the utilities which is a pretty good deal and is close to what I was already paying unofficially(mom wouldn't take it so I made a "emergency fund" which I put about $300 into each month and I bought $200+ in groceries :P). Anyways the problem is my brother/fiance are talking about moving now and even if they don't my mom is trying to urge me to continue splitting the utilities even once I leave on my hike which I honestly don't mind however it will deplete my cushion for once I finish my hike by a few grand :P. If they move I will probably just have to cancel the hike altogether so I'm really hoping they wait until after their wedding since it's all planned and scheduled to take place here anyways  .

Anyways those are pretty much the main obstacles I have to worry about hopefully. Was worried about insurance but luckily the health insurance requirement for individuals gets repealed next year so I should be able to get a decent enough emergency insurance plan without having to pay an arm and a leg to meet the minimum requirement.

:) : As for when I get back I still plan to try and get into the military specifically into the Army as an Infantryman . Going to talk to a recruiter next week and get the details sorted out. Plan is to finish my hike then enlist and do direct ship to get into training as soon as possible. If I get into good enough shape before my hike I might even enlist with delayed entry so I can have a date in place ahead of time.

Ahha  Today they are gone, it was an unusual one day occurance. I live in apartment, 3rd floor it was weird seeing them flying up here XD
Whew, yess, we better fend our territory or they will pee everywhere and lay eggs. (they don't work that way, do they?).

Well, turns out decades of lethargy and eating have been slowly raising my blood pressure. And this week massive stress has triggered... Well, I don't know what it triggered, but I didn't like it. I'm not in a mad dash to figure out a better way to handle stress and to finally start taking steps to address what my blood pressure is starting to become. Ain't aging great?

I was seeing wasps indoors this year. Turns out the screen behind my attic vent (one of these things) had fallen apart, so the mofos had ample space to get in and nest. Replaced the screen and things seem fine now. Glad I caught it before more decided to make a home here.

:? - Stayed up too late last night pushing through the last section of Shadow Tower, and I’m struggling to stay awake this afternoon.

8) - Beat Shadow Tower last night. Such a cool, rewarding FPDC.

:( Really hope my mom can find me a new therapist soon. I'm just about ready to give up. I'm really not sure how some of the people I know stay so positive about my prospects- I don't see anything. And I swear if I hear "you can do great things" one more time...

The times my mind slips into this tunnel vision consciousness, where life seems flowing through some shadow and everything is dream like, and when i come out after it everything looks so blissful, transcended. And these ups and downs been lately faster and faster, not like i believe in good or bad things, i feel like i am disconnecting from my body. I quite enjoy these events, makes the life very mystical, as long as i am not diagnosed with something

Slight backstory:

I work as a full stack web developer, my wife works for USPS as a letter carrier (and has a lot of the same issues with them as fragems I might add).

We have 3 kids in the early stages of life, so daycare is very expensive.

And with that,

Smile/Frown - I started working a second job last Monday as a waiter / bartender. My wife and I took Dave Ramsey's financial peace university class in May - July. We almost had step one done ( put $1,000 in savings). It just so happened that my son had a dental checkup a week later, and well... back to the drawing board we went.

I'm not really mad about having a second job, but I am not as enthusiastic about it as I feel I should be... The thought of getting totally out of debt is great, but it's going to be a very long process. The good thing is I should only have to have a second job for probably two years, three at most. So there is an end in sight at least.
