By Final Fantasy III you mean Final Fantasy VI, right? Unless Canada uses yet another numbering system.
Let us know what you think of it. It's my favorite game of all time.
What RPG are you playing right now?

NES DQ2 can go eff itself.
Yep. That is FFVI here as well.By Final Fantasy III you mean Final Fantasy VI, right? Unless Canada uses yet another numbering system.

I will certainly post my thoughts when I get going on it. I've been wanting to play this game for ages. I happened across a nice copy from a trade I did not too long ago.

The real frustration is not the grinding, as what kills you is monsters going "lol you lose" with either a preemptive that kills your one guy with revive or group instant death. In terms of grinding you just need to be able to defeat the back-to-back last boss pair. The trick is how the miniboss respawns in the final dungeon work.
Whenever you save it causes the minibosses to respawn. However, if you kill a miniboss (like Atlas), then die and get revived at the church (so you'll be at full health) and DON'T save then the next time you're in the castle Atlas will already be defeated. So you can do a couple of runs through the final castle and just don't blow your consumables and then do your real attempts at the last boss once the minibosses are out of the way.

Thanks for the tip. I just beat Secret of Evermore, so I intend to move on to Robotrek next. Should be fun. I'm looking forward to it!

You're killing these RPGs!
I'm kind of stalling right now so I can start Grandia on the 1st.

Wooo! Phantasy Star II ending get!
I ended up leveling Amy to 30 which put the others at 31 (turns out she has kind of a crappy exp curve) so that I'd have Nasar as I didn't feel like going back and trying to steal the Heal All item. Was able to kill Dark Force once he didn't start off by possessing Amy as his first move so she could get off Deban (took three tries). Ported back, healed up, then made my way to Mother Brain. I fought everything along the way as I had a large supply of Trimates for after battle healing and Rolf dinged 32 (which is a large stat boost level for him) before I reached the Mother Brain. She went down easy peasy since she's just got a weaker hit all and a single hit for the same damage.
I'm taking off the 26th through the 2nd so I think I'll do Phantasy Star IV during that time.

Skipping part III is downright criminal.

Part III does not exist. It's like Leisure Suit Larry 4.BoneSnapDeez wrote:Skipping part III is downright criminal.
