Finished Vay. It wasn't very good.

Moved on to Ys Origin. This one rules. Hard.

I agree. Of the three Ys games using that engine, for me Origin was the best. It was a blast from start to finish. A lean mean Falcom awesome machine. I'm tempted to start up Celceta soon, but I've already beat three Ys games this year.

Also looking forward to this one on Vita.

Origin is indeed better than Felghana and absolutely murders Ys VI.

I don't see a problem.

Oh man that screenshot got me all excited for a second. I thought it was the new Phantasy Star.

But anyway, "Ys VIII" or whatever it is will be a day-one purchase for me.

I think Oath and Origin bring different things to the table. There's all that asset re-use in Origin that makes it hard to unequivocally recommend... but then, it's Ys, so it's not like playing through three times is painful or something. ;)

For my money, though, Ys Seven is where it's at. Despite the lack of platforming, it's one of the flashiest and most frenetic action-RPGs I've had the pleasure of playing. And I'll definitely get Celceta as soon as I actually own a Vita. I promise I'll get one eventually, Exhuminator!

The fact that there's another one coming for the platform will probably put me over the edge... although given how poorly the Vita is doing, I don't have a lot of confidence that we'll get it for sure.

I've reached the final boss of Etrian Odyssey Untold. Hoping to beat the game tonight and be free of this madness. I'm almost at 120 hours in now.

You're not finished until you do the 6th stratum.

I'm finished when I see the credits roll.

The post game Claret Hollows stuff doesn't sound appealing honestly.

I just started Shining Force yesterday for the first time, I really like it so far, I'm usually pretty terrible at strategy RPGs, I've never been able to finish one, so hopefully this will be my first triumph. Also got Golden Sun : The Lost Age on hold right now, I'll need to finish that too

Shining Force is a really fun game. Not too hard either, if I remember correctly. You should be able to clear it without too much trouble.

Nice. Yeah the Shining Force games are great for strategy RPGs novices. Relatively low difficulty and the option to power-level if you so choose.
