LOL. The Genesis port isn't even 3D, iirc.noiseredux wrote:my guess is because I played the Genesis port? That's assuming there's a version of the game that's a lot better?dsheinem wrote:how do you hate Virtua Fighter 2?

nope. But it is boring shit.
Do you still have the PS2 Genesis collection? It's on there. Can't remember if it's on the PS3 collection.

This is VF2 for the Genesis:

It is 2D

yeah I know. I agreed with you. You said "it's not even 3D" and I said "nope [it's not], but it is boring shit"

But your post said you don't like 3D games because of VF2.noiseredux wrote:yeah I know. I agreed with you. You said "it's not even 3D" and I said "nope [it's not], but it is boring shit"

no it doesn't. It just said that DOA 'immediately reminded me' of VF2.
I don't even dislike 3D fighting games. I just PREFER 2D ones is all. And I've played a lot more 2D ones.

The DS version has a new translation that's quite improved over the original.noiseredux wrote: Was the English localization the same across the board for all ports of the game, or was the cavegirl less annoying in another version?
A lot of the dialogue in 65 million b.c., and Ayla's dialogue in particular, is much better and less annoying.
Ayla is badass by the way...

About half way through Circle of the Moon now. Ran into a huge roadblock with the fourth boss, some crazy monster popping out of the wall. Had to check a map on gamefaqs to find the weapon I needed to beat it.
I think the pace of the game is starting to pick up now that I have so many crazy powers - again, even Symphony of the Night didn't leave me feeling this bad ass. I am racing around, double jumping, flames surrounding me, whip cracking - this game is freaking amazing.
...Now I am wondering if selling off Harmony of Dissonance was such a smooth move...

Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?
