That's a good enough reason for me to continue to lobby for its removal from this list, then.
I very much appreciate the in-depth take on the controls and what not. Thanks!

...ok, then.
Is there anyone else who thinks Monkey Ball should be completely removed from the top 30?

I vote no, Mike! It's the definitive version of Monkey Ball. It should remain on the list.

Resident Evil 0 beats out original Resident Evil? I suppose 0 doesn't have the luxury of being remade again for modern systems but the original Resident Evil has the advantage of no censorship, something the later versions were stuck with.
No Cubivore either eh? It's weird and exclusive not to mention decent to play. Replay worth is questionable but there seems to be some variety as to how to evolve so to speak. It's not low priced but it's not too expensive and having said that you can easily recoup the money if it's not your cup of tea.
Stranger still is no Metroid Prime 1 or 2. I realize the Wii versions could be seen as superior but they play very well on the original control scheme and besides, REV00 MP1 for scan-jump, something the Wii versions cannot speak to.
The Twin Snakes is also worthy if in my view is inferior to the PS1 game.
As for a dark-horse nomination, I'd say Godzilla Destroy All Monsters Melee is a good addition. Not the largest roster but it's damn good and easily found. Has the quirk of intentions to be one of those GameCube exclusive titles before it seeing release on Xbox over a year later. Same development team worked on Rampage Total Destruction, which is another good GameCube fighter (Wii is superior to be sure with a larger roster but GameCube still holds up).
Also, I've never played Mario Strikers - I only own 1 soccer game for GameCube and it's Virtua Striker 2002 (Virtua Striker 3). It's good enough albeit not as frantic as the earlier iterations in the series.

What censorship is there?

Sorry, I should have clarified.
Both Resident Evil (Biohazard) & Resident Evil 0 (Biohazard 0) on GameCube were uncensored across all regions. Upon the re-release on Wii both games were censored, but for Japan only. This boils down to the fact the original games were released prior to the CERO rating system, even though Code Veronica and 4 on GameCube both had CERO 18 ratings (now CERO Z). The Wii games both sport CERO D, as does the physical release on PS3 (although not the Asian release). As to the particulars, I believe decapitations are entirely absent among other details.
The Wii game (Resident Evil Archives) does sound promising:
-1 disc
-improved loading times
-multiple control options
But it hasn't been improved much if anything visually and can be said at times to look worse than the GC release. However, the PC seems to usurp all other releases given 60fps (although not always a good thing) and HD revamp.

So here are the ones I feel have longevity and replay value and would love to have stay on my shelf. I'm also going to include ones I haven't played, and these might be ones that I really want to add to my collection or have heard good things about or maybe I admire their art style.
1. Mario Golf: Toad Stool Tour
2. Super Smash Bros. Melee
3. Skies of Arcadia (Haven't played)
4. Baten Kaitos (Haven't Played)
5. Eternal Darkness ( Haven't played)
6. LOZ: Twilight Princess
7. Mario Cart: Double Dash
8. LOZ: Four Swords
9. LOZ Collector's edition
10. Star Fox: Assault
11. Paper Mario: thousand year door - this is a very interesting title. It's not just paper mario in another rpg. This game has a certain charm about it that is hard to describe.
12. Pokemon Colosseum
13. Ikaruga
14. Lost Kingdoms (Haven't Played, but it is by from software, so it may be worth a look)
15. Lost Kingdoms 2 (Haven't played)
16. Baten Kaitos Origins
17. LOZ: Wind Waker
18. Soul Calibur II
19. Final Fantasy: Chrystal Chronicles
20. Chaos Field: (Haven't played)
21. Super Mario Sunshine
22. Resident Evil 4
Honorable Mention:
Tales of Symphonia - Great game, but I've played through it twice and have no reason to own it.
Fire Emblem - Awesome game, but again, I beaten it and there is no replay value.
