That's also infuriating. To top off this list; awful translations.

Pretty sure GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY was retitled as INTERSTELLAR BAD GUY PUNCHERS in Asian markets. Well, something close to that.

Just for fun: Listen

Last night, my wife and I suffered through:

High Tension (2003). It was a dull slasher film that isn't good enough to be ruined by a spectacularly stupid ending. Despite one funny/interesting kill, I do not recommend it.

that's how I'd describe the movie. One awesome kill and then an hour and a half of pretty meh.

...actually that sounds pretty awesome. I would have seen it. Remind me to use that at some point in the future.

And I have been going through and watching the trailers for long-running horror movie series on YouTube. It's entertaining to see both how horror film series have evolved over time as well as the means of advertising them and the production companies that end up involved over time.

If you guys get the chance, I suggest running the gamut of Halloween, Friday the 13th, and Nightmare on Elm Street trailers at the very least.

It is still mostly better than the Dean Koontz book it blatantly ripped off. Having read Intensity, I thought the movie did an excellent job of sticking with the basic formula and improving on some of the issues I take with Koontz' writing(I just can't stand his writing, no matter how much I want to like it). But man, that ending...

...and what's worse is that a Spanish film, The Nun, basically ripped off the Haute Tension ending two years later.

The concrete saw at the very, very end was pretty fun too, but I just did not care for this movie at all. The insanely stupid ending on made it worse.

I cannot fathom what would cause someone to rip off the stupidest ending in all of horror cinema...

.....

I am trying to work through the rest of my horror DVDs, and I have the following queued up for this weekend...

The Whip and The Body (1963)
Cube (1997)
Freddy vs. Jason (2003)
The Thing (2011)

I also have The Classic Slasher Collection, which features Don't Look In the Basement (1973), Scream Bloody Murder (1973), The Severed Arm (1973), and Silent Night, Bloody Night (1972).

What should I watch next?

What I can't fathom is why in the Hell I've seen The Nun.

It's not a nunsploitation film, unfortunately. It's a bad "ghost" film..."slasher" film...who knows what kind of movie it is! It's shit is what it is.

When a thumbnail version of the poster looks like there are pubes stuck around the eyes of some 'menacing' eyes in the background, that doesn't help either.

You're welcome now that you cannot unsee.

The Thing wasn't very good, and a lot of it is from how much the producers cut from the practical effects and instead focused on CG in post production. It really kills the mood of the movie because the monsters transform from the hideous puppets in John Carpenter's The Thing into goofy looking cartoons.

Also on your slasher collection, I believe The Hatchet Murders is a Dario Argento film known primarily as Deep Red. I'm a fan of it.
