January: 47
I've dabbled in the Dreamcast this month, snagging some decent lots when the going's right. Noise and I have been on a kick and I've been playing my Dreamcast very avidly. I think it's the only console I'll truly want to get a complete collection for. Here's what I got this month.

Not pictured: Dynamite Cop Disc Only, NBA 2K, Bust-a-Move 4, Capcom vs. SNK, Resident Evil Code Veronica, Wild Metal.

Heh, that reminds me that I almost added a genesis to my collection(needed some clean up on the cords) but i decided to hold out and hope they still have it by the end of the month. It was CIB except the fact it was missing the sonic game(it had the manuals for it but not the actual game)...
My gameroom
My systems: NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube, Wii, original gba, gba sp(001), ds lite, 3ds, vita, psp, PSone(101 model) ps2, ps3(320gb model), ps4, retron 5, and Dreamcast.

Sonic is probably one of the easiest games to find for the genesis should have no trouble since your looking for the not for resale version.

Yea just gotta hope that system is still there in a few weeks, holding out to make sure tuition goes through...if I could buy that system and make it truly cib that would be amazing since it was only 25 for everything(including the manuals including the game manual I think)...

I finally picked up Professor Layton and the Lost Future. At first I didn't care about the Layton games (it took me a long time to get through Curious Village) but the fourth game (which was the first one I beat) changed my mind. Now I really like the Layton series. Still have to buy the 3DS games.

Nice. I adore the Layton games. The puzzles are actually difficult; the stories are always enjoyable; and the games are surprisingly long. I hope that you enjoy Unwound Future. It is probably my favorite game in the series, and the bittersweet ending made brought a tear to my eye. (You must avoid apoilers at all cost!)

Are all these solid choices in the series? Just making sure there's no stinkers. Was going to pick up the cheapest one I could find, unless they should/need to be played in order.

There's technically two trilogies, so story-wise it would probably be good to start with either Curious Village or The Last Specter. I've played all but the last one (which now that I think about it, might not be out in NA yet) and I don't think any of them are a stinker personally.
Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended...so the world might be mended.

They are all great. I would also recommend playing through them "in order" starting with Curious Village (then Diabolical Box, then Unwound Future, etc.). If I had to rank them based on quality, however, I would rank them:

1. Unwound Future
2. Diabolical Box
3. Curious Village
4. Last Specter

I have not yet completed Miracle Mask or Azran Legacy; so, I don't know how those will fit into my rankings.
