Re: E3 2011
Other than the gold Zelda controller, what did they announce for the Wii console? Any new games?
I haven't watched any of the E3 presentations.

They didn't announce anything for the Wii, which is typical of Nintendo (look at Gamecube and N64.) They have essentially abandoned their large userbase and put their focus towards a platform that is likely 1.5 years away.

Oh ok. That might be perfect for you then.Croooow! wrote:Because my wife watches a lot of TV while I usually play PSP or GBA in the same room. 100% agreed.FerretGamer wrote:Is anyone else left with a feeling of confusion?
Gaming is slowly being ruined with each new generation.

I entirely disagree.darthmunky wrote:100% agreed.FerretGamer wrote:Is anyone else left with a feeling of confusion?

Bit of a strong sentiment. It evolves over time. Nearly anything you like about games was an innovation at one point or another, and I'm sure someone, somewhere, wasn't so sure it was a good idea then either.darthmunky wrote:100% agreed.FerretGamer wrote:Is anyone else left with a feeling of confusion?

Obviously, not every idea is good...but you have to allow for developers taking chances.
I think the problem with the Wii U announcement is a lot more that Nintendo just didn't have a whole lot to show. From the Q&A, even the clips they showed at the end were just comprised of 360/PS3 footage. There's barely anything concrete for the system yet.

Apparently the only Wii announcements were that Skyward Sword will be available for 2011 Holiday season and Link's Awakening is now available for the Virtual Console. The latter is a surprise since I don't think there are any GBC games on the Wii VC.
