Aw, it's awesome to get to see some older kids continuing on with this stuff.

Cute! I hope my daughters are into gaming too. I'm in the process of getting the eldest a DSi...we'll see!beatnix wrote:A proud moment...

Recently started playing Bugs Bunny & Taz Time Busters (PSone) with my seven-year-old daughter. Great game. I also acquired Looney Tunes Racing, which we play, but it isn't that hot. I remembered that I had a demo of Crash Team Racing on the Spyro 2 disc, so we try that. Also, Crash Bash demo on Spyro 3 disc. To make a long story short, my daughter gave me $12 of her own money to buy Crash Bash from eBay. Both games ordered.

Very cute, I can't wait until my daughter is old enough to play games (just shy of 2 right now).Zing wrote:Recently started playing Bugs Bunny & Taz Time Busters (PSone) with my seven-year-old daughter. You have to get CTR though, what a fantastic racing game and it definitely holds up really well today!

He's pretty much adept at most types of games. But mostly prefers platformers and the beat-em-up's.
+1 for the VHS player
Sorry mate I only just now saw your post.
That unit above the LD player is a D-VHS recorder.
The 720p/1080i on the D-Theater tapes I own looks really good. I was initially very surprised at the visual quality coming out of those VHS cassettes.

Any kids I have I plan on giving them the same games I grew up on. Stuff back then was really good for kids, took forever to beat a game and made kids learn that you have to keep working at something to reach the end goal.
Like Super Mario 3, wow I remember playing that bad boy for weeks because my parents didn't want me to get addicted to gaming (LOL) so they would only let me play for a few hours a day if I finished my homework.
Unlike my parents though I don't think i'll put a limit on the games (unless it starts effecting the kids work or what have you).
If I have a daughter, I will teach her everything I know. Screw perfect plastic Barbie, she's getting an NES for xmas lol.
Though I will wait till the future kids are old enough to actually remember playing these things...so like 8-9, and I'll give them the consoles that can get beat up and not break as easily...kids tend to not take care of their toys/games. idk how many time's I'll find a young kid with some Gameboy stuff or other portables and all of it will be beat to hell and covered in god only knows what kind of filth. I mean it has to partly come from the way the parents raise them, if they don't teach the kids to care for their toys then of course the stuff is going to end up trashed. But kids will be kids.
Long post is long, sorry.

maybe you are thinking of selling that D-VHS with some D-VHS movies?Thierry Henry wrote:This is what you call a better late than never reply.RCBH928 wrote:what is the grey system over what seems like a black laserDisc player?Thierry Henry wrote:Here's my 5 year old putting in some time with Vectorman on the Genesis.
