Austin, TX meet up thread

Yo, I'll be there with about 2-3 buddies from the the Videogame meetup group. I know I was talking about bringing some xblig projects to show but they aren't really ready yet I'll still play some dreamcast!

Hey man, can't wait to see you there! Keep us up to date on the projects for a possible future meet up.

I just learned of the meetup from a Game Over mail. I've been a Atari 2600/XE collector for a long time and just returned to Austin from New York. I'll try to come by for some of the meet -- I've got my own Dreamcast controller (I think I might have the arcade stick for it somewhere). I'm sure I've got a VMU with a dead battery around too.

Welcome to the forums! Definitely stop by and say hello. Bring anything you think we might find interesting. I'm always a fan of Dreamcast specific arcade sticks.

UPDATE: I will be bringing the following to the meet up:

SAT to DC controller converter w/ Twin Sticks, VOOT (JAP) and Virtua Stick.

Awwwwwwsome. If these are Saturn sticks I could bring a Saturn to play some OG VO.

As usual, I will be on hand to serve as videographer. Rest assured, there is a Thanksgaming video in the works, but I just haven't had the time to really pull it together

Whoa, I almost forgot about the Thanksgaming video. If I remember correctly, we took a lot of video. Good luck putting it together.

Damn man. That's really shitty of them. My wormhole expander died this morning, too. So there goes that option.

I am going to re-arrange the list of games. We will still have plenty of systems and TVs, however!

EPIC MEET WAS EPIC!

Major thanks to everyone who came out. The weather was shit but many brave souls came together to celebrate the Dreamcast. So many new faces and some I haven't seen in a long time. I hope everyone had a good time. I think we can safely say this was our biggest turn out so far. I counted 13 or 14 at one point. Prizes were handed out and healthy doses of smack were spoken.

Great matchups in Mark of the Wolves. phaedrus punished me like the bitch I am. (it's all good, I buried him later in Virtual On)

We kind of split up after the meet and didn't follow through with Gourdough's and UFO but we had a solid 2 hours at Pinballz. Most made it over to the arcade and we had some fun matchups and discussions.

Big thanks to the guys from the meetups.com group who made it out. Dan, you're awesome. Can't wait to see some of your projects. Keep me posted on what's happening with the developers meet.

Siren, Game Over is holding on to your stick for you. I can swing by there and grab it if you would like me to. We realized it was there about 20 mins after you left. Big thanks for coming up, man. Those twin sticks were awesome. It hurt so bad that we didn't have a 2nd set so we could really get things going.
