You gotta love Electric Boogaloo.

It's amazing that some people don't get how awesome the Breakin' movies are. Just last night my wife had a few of her girlfriends over, and after watching the opening credits, one girl asked "Is the entire movie going to be like this?", like it was a bad thing.

You know, I toss out 'Electric Boogaloo' as a bad joke all the time when someone says Blahblah 2, but I've never actually seen either of the movies. I really should remedy that. I do love me some George Kranz though.

Well, it could be worse. I'd say that's still better than the time my friends and I started watching Jesus Christ: Vampire Hunter while my mother was there. About ten minutes in, she suddenly announced she'd seen it before. Everyone in the room turned and stared at her.

Yeah, that's actually become a recurring gag for my friends, where whenever a sequel comes out, we slap on a subtitle.

2: Electric Boogaloo
3: Tokyo Drift
4: Resurrection

I don't think we've ever needed a 5.

Ghost Dog Way of the Samurai. One of the stranger Hollywood movies, which is good I suppose. The whole code of the samurai bit wasn't all that impressive, but it worked in this movie. Whitaker is a great actor.

Yup I saw this movie several years ago... Pretty good underrated movie IMO... I thought Forrest Whitaker did very well, although the ending was kind of weird but I guess followed the samurai code..

Russian Ark - simply amazing, even better with the commentary. When you realize it is an 85 minute steady cam shot, with eight (8) people following the camera the entire time, well I just dont know what to say. I mean Ive orchestrated crowd shots, but having 800 people going down a staircase and out a foyer and having specific characters show up in the middle of it, I mean the logistics are mindboggling.

The Fall (2006) - It was a neat premise and simply GORGEOUS, but the overall plot was kinda weak. It does show that you can make a very pretty movie and it wont sell.

Yeah, remedy that asap. Netflix is your friend, but Breakin' isn't streaming...yet.

Last night I watched two movies from my Instant Que on Netflix, two of which I can't believe I haven't seen

The Hunger- with David Bowie- holy shit, this is the best vampire movie ever, with Bauhaus, catherine deneuve, and lesbo vampire scenes-- super gothic, spuper dark- crazy fucked up love story- right up my alley- A PLUS

One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest- there are some classics that I have never got around to seeing, this is up there, some times I end up being disappointed (Citizen Kane) but other times, like this, I am just blown away- what a great film, with some superb acting, awesome camera work, soundtrack- just amazing A plus as well

I got these on my Instant Queue, too. The Hunger is a higher priority than OFOtCN, though.

Also recently watched the first few minutes of the Bollywood film "I Hate Luv Storys". Can't wait to watch the rest of it.

And FYI, I have the Netflix app for my iPod Touch, so I can watch movies on my Instant Queue with my iPod Touch, which I was afraid wouldn't work on my G1 Touch. As for quality... it's adequate. My only qualm is I can't use this on the go, cuz I can only go online at a hotspot and the only other hotspot outside of my house, excluding hotels and other places, is my aunt's house and I haven't been over there since Christmas. Plus... what about TV output?

Logan's Run- Boy did this movie come out of left field for me. It's like soylent green meets planet of the apes except a lot cheesier. Definitely an entertaining movie, I would recommend it those who like films like soylent green and westworld.
