For your viewing pleasure, I submit an excerpt from the final draft of a research paper two weeks in the making from my AP Government and Politics class. The prompt was "In your interpretation, does the Constitution provide states with the right to secede from the United States?" Enjoy.

yes , we can come together as one union . An Union can be secede with organization , intelligence, and union. An Union is the action or fact of joining or being joined, especially in a political context. Countries are mostly about trade and agreement to make money so I think yes they can .

I have painstakingly recreated it with the exact spelling and grammar used.

Ugh, wind is blowing the smoke from the forest fires in the north of the state down towards Atlanta. You can smell it outside, and everything has a slight haze to it.

Man, AP classes have really lowered the bar for students since I was in school.

It's kind of scary how terribly people write when written communication is bigger than ever.

It's less that my bar is set super low (though I've had to lower it just so that I don't get bitched at for giving kids a zero for everything) and more that our counselors are incompetent twats who pay zero attention to whether a kid SHOULD be in an honors or AP class and either just do whatever the kids want or just blindly shovel them into a class for the sake of filling up their schedule. My first year, I had a girl make a 30 in my regular World History class (she had made a 40-something the previous year in a different teacher's class), and the very next semester, her counselor put her in my HONORS World History class.

Yeah... something needs to be done there. At my highschool, if you didn't have an A in the class before "Honors" or "AP" or "Dual Credit", you didn't get in. If it was one of these categories moving into the other, it was a hardline C, even if you off by .001.

:? That time of the schoolyear. The rest of this week is going to be hell, and I'm hoping against hope that I will be far enough ahead on both of my projects to go out with my friends on Saturday, but that might be lost hope. One of them isn't too bad, the other requires two "written by the group" papers, which is either going to be me doing all the writing, or me writing with the other guys double checking me.
