Random Thought:
Do you suppose the REAL prince of Nigeria has a hard time communicating with people via e-mail because all of his messages get filtered into junk mail by spam filters?

Re: Random Thoughts Thread
hahah speaking of which i've been getting spammed by them pretty often recently.
Its such obvious scammed i just cant believe some actually for it hahaha.
Those willing to assist are asked to provide their banking account number (for "safekeeping" the funds) and Social Security number, birth date, or other personal information. Or they are asked to send money to the letter-sender for taxes and various fees. Victims never see their money again, and the con artist obtains the ability to empty their bank account and/or steal their identity.
Folks laugh at the insanity of falling for such a fraud, but the FBI reports annual losses of millions of dollars to these schemes. Some victims have actually been lured to Nigeria, where they were imprisoned.

If you're actually dumb enough to be "lured" to Nigeria, perhaps you deserve some sort of imprisonment.

Equally random, I used to work next door to the Nigerian consulate...J T wrote:Do you suppose the REAL prince of Nigeria has a hard time communicating with people via e-mail because all of his messages get filtered into junk mail by spam filters?
My scheduling skills have died of dysentery; I hope to visit at least on a monthly basis.

Did they ever have banking staff come over and ask you to hold the consulate's money?pakopako wrote:Equally random, I used to work next door to the Nigerian consulate...J T wrote:Do you suppose the REAL prince of Nigeria has a hard time communicating with people via e-mail because all of his messages get filtered into junk mail by spam filters?
Re: Random Thoughts Thread
Guys, didn't we have a general "What is it worth?" thread?
Thinking of maybe dumping off a bunch of my 360 games to try and get Skyrim and tie me over while I'm poor, lol. I have not traded in games in years and am still very against it, but eh... I really don't hold half my 360 collection in high regard at all, tons of games I'm never touching again and wouldn't care to see off my shelves. Is there a way to check on Gamestop or other sites how much credit I could get for stuff?

No. But you can call the store and ask an employee to look it up for you.Xeogred wrote:Guys, didn't we have a general "What is it worth?" thread?

You might look into Best Buy's game trade in program. I've not traded in anywhere in years, but it may be a better deal, even if your looking to just get another game (Skyrim), maybe you'll have enough credit for something else at BB.Xeogred wrote:Guys, didn't we have a general "What is it worth?" thread?
