Good luck with that....the voices looking back on it(even if they're just battle voices), suck. It'd be great if it wasn't for that.

Your guess was right, it's this one:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fire_Emble ... ding_BladeYeah "Binding Blade" or "Sealed Sword", whichever tickles your fancy. Lackluster story and completely derped RNG for attack accuracy kinda ruin it for me. It's not terribad or anything but definitely not in the top tier FE list. It was the first FE after Shouzou Kaga split, and you can tell.

Yeah I'd translate it to Sealed Sword ("Sword of Seal") but my Japanese is slipping lately.
I love Fire Emblem but never bothered to look into the chronology of the series for whatever reason. As far as imports go I think I'm most interested in the game we didn't get on the DS.
Such a great series. And the games seem to gradually get better with every installment, Awakening is one of the best SRPGs ever. Most every other JRPG series that began during the 8 or 16-bit era peaked a long time ago.

You're probably aware of this, but just in case:

Well it was the number one reason I bought a 3DS.

True enough. My favorite SRPG series started in the 16-bit era,
Front Mission... and although it had two DS entries, it did indeed peak a long time ago during the PS2 era. Such is the way of things.

Fire Emblem 6's story follows on from Fire Emblem 7 (the first western released one). The game released in the west as 'Fire Emblem' is a prequel to Fire Emblem 6/Sealed Sword/Binding Blade/Fuuin no Tsurugi (take your pick).

Started playing Dark Cloud 2. About 3 and a half hours in. Does anyone know about how many hours it takes to complete?

Last night fastbilly1, myself, and a bunch of our other friends(Xentrix, xero, and Innuterable) decided to play through Nox and made it halfway in a ridiculous set of hours trying to figure out controls and learning why I shouldn't ever have a warhammer. Because I'm awesome with it.

About halfway through Planescape Torment and thoroughly engrossed in the story and plight of the nameless one. This is a second attempt at a playthrough actually. I couldnt really give the game the kind of attention it commands with the endless text/choices/ descriptions. The quality of writing incredible. Happy I'm getting around to playing this as an adult as opposed to back in 1999 when it was released.
