What kind of a PC setup do you use? I don't mean hardware specifically. I mean, do you play on a laptop, or a desktop and monitor, or do you have your PC hooked up to the HDTV in the living room, or a projector? Just curious since you do so much of it, how you go about it.MrPopo wrote:because PC is so huge

Well, how does "PC" look once you split it three ways into "standard" PC gaming vs. GOG.com vs. Steam???

Why would I split it up? It's all PC.BoneSnapDeez wrote:Well, how does "PC" look once you split it three ways into "standard" PC gaming vs. GOG.com vs. Steam???
I've got my PC hooked up to my giant flatscreen TV, and I sit on the couch with a mouse and keyboard. From time to time I break out the joystick and that will sit on my lap with the keyboard and mouse off to the side. The only things I don't have plugged into this TV are the NES and the Master System; those are hooked up to the CRT in my bedroom. What kind of a PC setup do you use? I had tried this for an hour or so back on the PC a couple of years ago but didn't get into it. Figured I'd give the new Vita port a spin...
The combat in this game is the key selling point and the design style is novel and nice, but I found both the story and the much-heralded storytelling to be a bit of a mess and more of a detraction than an enhancement. Still, the title looks great and feels very much at home on the Vita, and if you liked it before I think you'd probably like it here, too.

Have you played it before? I think the hype for the game > game itself by a pretty wide margin.prfsnl_gmr wrote:I just got this for my brand new iPad. (It is $1 right now.) I am really looking forward to it.dsheinem wrote:Bastion

Re: Games Beaten 2015
I have never played it before, and all I know about it is that it is supposed to be a pretty good ARPG. Accordingly - and unless I go hunting for more information - I doubt it will disappoint me. EDIT: I am currently putzing around with World of Goo HD and Space Invaders Infinity Gene. The former is fun, and the latter is ridiculously awesome (...so awesome, in fact, that I am totally going to spring for the in-app purchases).
Re: Games Beaten 2015
I'm doing an accounting of the new games I acquired this year and over half are either GOG releases of old games or an existing game that's sat on Steam for a while but I never bothered picking up. It's mostly the former. I would be making much better progress on my Backloggery if GOG would stop getting awesome shit.

Definitely didn't care for it. Style and no substance.dsheinem wrote:Have you played it before? I think the hype for the game > game itself by a pretty wide margin.prfsnl_gmr wrote:I just got this for my brand new iPad. (It is $1 right now.) I am really looking forward to it.dsheinem wrote:Bastion
