I was answering the question as asked. You made your point (and quite well) and what I had to say had nothing to do with it. Hence the edit. Sorry if that offended but I try to keep my quotes simple.

Anyway, as I see it, it takes two to tango and the problem of how to deal with digital rights in a way that screws neither the customer or the content creator is going to require the input of both parties.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

I would have if it didn't go from $26.50 to double that in the very last MINUTE of the bidding -_- Never saw a feeding frenzy as bad as that on an item before

If you look at the completed auctions, they were all for $60-$70. Did you really think it was going to go for ~$30? Yeah, you might get lucky sometimes but the odds are against you.

Also, it's normal for people to snipe at the last minute.

I learned a lesson and looking at the new auctions, a price range of $50-$80 for them so I should budget at least $100 next time.

Also, I remembered back to 2002 where I got a Japanese import DC game for $50-$60 so that should have taught me a lesson too -- but now I know -- $100 or bust! THAT is worthy of a smile and a laugh to fit the thread parameters :)

SMILE: May be getting much more work with the Special Ed kids soon. I'm going to go ahead and get certified as a teacher if I get that job and move up from there. Teaching seems like a great way for me to make a living while still having a lot of time off to do all my film and video work.

BIGGER SMILE: Finally some time to rest and relax! Feels like I haven't been on here in ages!

TICKED: Migraine with family over that I haven't seen in a while and want to visit. Gotta use my migraine shades and earplugs for a bit.

I don't think you need to budget $100. I suggest entering a bid of $65 when the auction is 30 seconds from ending. Hopefully you get it less than that.

That sounds good for the auction items. I'll be sure to do that! Thank you :)

Smile: 42 friends and family members attended our Christmas party tonight in our little one-bedroom apartment.. Fun was had by all!

Ticked: The amount of dishes I'm going to have to do tomorrow is staggering.
