I agree. I owned the game for fifteen years before I finally sat down and played through it because I couldn't stand the graphics and I disliked the controls. I'm just glad to have it out of the way so I don't have to go back ever again.BoneSnapDeez wrote:Never liked Star Fox too much.

Re: How Is Your SNES Gaming Going?
I loved - and still love - the simple polygons in Star Fox, Stunt Race FX, Out of This World, Virtua Racing, etc. I think that they have aged much better than the textured polygons we received on the N64, PS1, and SATURN, and I might very much enjoy a modern game that employed "Dire-Straits-Money-for-Nothing-Music-Video" art direction:

Also, Star Fox (SNES) is a great rail shooter - with a fantastic soundtrack - and I very much prefer it to Star Fox 64.

I've been drinking the StarFox juice since it was released and will continue to drink it until my death. It was, and is astonishing from everything from gameplay to the marketing of the game. It's brilliant.

Nope, sorry, I just can't agree with that. Starfox 64 remains the best ever Starfox game.....which is pretty sad since it's almost 20 years old now :/prfsnl_gmr wrote: Also, Star Fox (SNES) is very much prefer it to Star Fox 64.

I'd agree, except that damn N64 controller. Starfox Assault is my favorite in the series.ZeroAX wrote:Nope, sorry, I just can't agree with that. The basic Star Fox controls are terrible; you need config B. But I don't understand how you can not like the graphics. I'd say the 3D graphics in Star Fox hold up better than the 3D graphics in FFVII. Star Fox didn't have much to work with, so they did the best they could and came up with some unique looking stuff. FFVII falls into that generic "early 3D" look that tries to make things look "normal" and falls short.Ack wrote:I agree. Yeah, this. It may look old but it will never get old for me. I was really wanting Starfox 2 to make it.Luke wrote:I've been drinking the StarFox juice since it was released and will continue to drink it until my death.
