To me its such a great game. I'd prefer the genesis version over the SNES.

I haven't played the SNES version, I've heard that they are quite different. Is the SNES game still a run n gun?

I'm looking forward to diving back in with Hatter's tip. Game definitely surprised me, I couldn't believe how fucking raw the soundtrack is (What little I've heard of it). That stage 1 boss track is so beast.

Been looking for an original ac adapter for the Sega cdx. I typed in 9.5 ac adapter and there are a few with a yellow tip and it is a 9.5/1a adapters for under ten bucks. Will those work without hurting the cdx?

You need 9.5V and 1.5amp mas. I swear I've told you this already. Get the MK-4122 or JVC AAS95J for a surefire bet. There are others that will work, but only if they have the exact same specs.

Ha ha yes! That line is top tier.

Any hints for a beginner going in? Game seems like it needs to be approached differently than any run n gun I've played. But damn its so good, I just have to get further.

You're trying to save twenty-five bucks. In the process of saving that money, you risk damaging your CDX. Which is worth more?

This is the reason why so many CDX units have malfunctioning CD components. Owners use an insufficient power supply with the CDX and wonder why they can only play genesis carts, but not CD games.

On the "easy" difficulty, you can pause the game and adjust the speed of the gameplay from the pause screen. If you go through the game on a slower speed, you can learn the patterns of the many, many bosses. Then you can beat it normally after learning that stuff.

Uh, Alien Soldier only came out on the Genesis. There's the PS2 Treasure comp that has a port it and maybe a VC one too, but there's no SNES version. Not sure what you're confusing it with.

Come on guy, you've asked this 3 or 4 times now in different places and you've been answered multiple times. If you're hoping to find the official brick you're going to be looking for a while and it won't be cheap, otherwise you better be scouring Craigslist and Goodwill 3 times a day and hope you get super lucky with someone who has no idea what it is. There are people on the forum that have been after one for quite some time. I myself gave up and made my own.

Otherwise you need one that's the same voltage and 1.5 Amps (or more is fine), whether that's a suitable replacement made by someplace, or a custom one made from another brick. Now save this information in a text file or on a post it, but stop asking multiple times in multiple places about it. Crossposting is annoying and against the rules.
