Re: RPG Progress Report
If/when you find the final Karn transformation he becomes shockingly powerful. It's almost a joke.
Re: RPG Progress Report
There is no if. Only when. Karn was decent before because of his fast speed and a nice weapon I found, but as Shin, he's currently my most powerful character, and I get to keep Bo and Gobi in the fight to get experience. I see no reason why not to get his most powerful abilities, just as I want to get Ryu's best dragon forms. And then I will crush my enemies. Crush them to goo!BoneSnapDeez wrote:If/when you find the final Karn transformation he becomes shockingly powerful. It's almost a joke.

FFV Advance --
Wind Shrine clear & first jobs assigned. Levels are 9/9/9/8. I hope that's good enough for now. I also like the auto-B button dash option.

The "if" only comes into play because it's pretty damn hard to find that last ability - assuming you aren't using walkthroughs or whatever.Ack wrote:There is no if. Only when. I admit that I am perfectly fine with using walkthroughs. I have already used them for things like looking up experience amounts needed to level up specific characters, because the game requires different amounts for each person. At the same amount of experience, Gobi might be level 20 and Ox level 16. It's one of the few things I dislike about the game, that I can't see how long it will take to level up a character who might sorely need it.BoneSnapDeez wrote:The "if" only comes into play because it's pretty damn hard to find that last ability - assuming you aren't using walkthroughs or whatever.Ack wrote:There is no if. Re: RPG Progress Report
So I have continued my rushing through Breath of Fire before I leave next Wednesday for my vacation. This morning I rescued Mogu from the dream world and added the last character to my party. With Mogu's help, I managed to get the Doof transformation and then some treasure, and with Doof I got some new gear and the Piku transformation! Piku is...well, I wish it was a little more impressive visually, but I'll take it. I also found the Rod5 and have fished out two pieces of the Dragon equipment, and Ryu has up through the Gold Dragon transformation. My current party features Karn as Piku, Ryu, Nina, and Bleu. Mogu is sitting out because, well...he kinda sucks from what I can tell. My current levels have a reasonably wide range: Nina and Bleu are 30, Ryu, Bo, Gobi, and Karn are in the upper 20s, and Mogu and Ox are in the low 20s, though in Mogu's case he arrived at 23 and I've already got him at 24.
Also, I've about reached the extent of my memory of the game. I remember the dream world and rescuing Mogu when I played in the late 1990s, but after that my memory gets hazy. But I am looking forward to getting to the end!

FFV - GBA
In the Ship's Graveyard. Experimenting with different jobs, building up abilities, trying to grind as much as I can. No idea what levels should be since I haven't played in a while, but beating everyone and the 2 "bosses" so far pretty handily I might say.
